A wonderful relaxing trip

My friend and I just wanted to relax and unwind. That we did. We weren't sure to expect with all inclusive.
The buffet has many choices at every meal
There is something for everyone. Also the opportunity to try new foods. You are required to sanitize your hands every time you enter the food area. The guacamole is soo good.
You must reserve to dine at the restaurants. I suggest 1st thing in the morning. Again food is good there also
I'd now like to shout out the staff. All waiters were attentive. The chefs great. Massage therapist delightful, I am still relaxed a week later. Janet the concierge soo helpful and kind. Aixiry at the desk was great. We had a hiccup with the room she fixed it without batting an eye. Martin the valet is charming. He can break a $20 for you.Last but not least Ricardo and Vicente the activities guys. Ricardo has a 9am stretching on the beach class. Also, a water aerobics class both are great especially if our eating buffet I recommend. He is funny , entertaining and engaging. The guys also have bocci, volleyball and other things to keep you busy.
The pool is big, beach clean. It isn't the Ritz, but it's clean, safe ,the entire staff is friendly and helpful.I'd go again.
World class service and food

Oh My, The Al La Cart Dinner at the Royal is World Class amazing! The plating skill and just right amount of seasoning, and the loaded cheesy bread will have your eyes open. With Expedia and Orbitz platinum membership— you get upgrades (free) to private pool area, an amazing service by a different concierge- Miss Edna, provided a stress free experience. She was thoughtful and suggest dinner reservations before i even have to ask. Usually most resort wants you to eat at buffet! I’ve been to PVR a dozen time, this has to be my fav! The service here is 5* quality. The rooms are nice and updated. The fridge has peanuts and juice. Raul A, the hostess provided me wonderful companies, so I won’t feel eating alone. He is kind and thoughtful. It was so good that I extended my stay. Please enjoy the food here!!!
Nice place but some staff make it too obvious their preference for English speaking, white guests

The room was always clean and the cleaning lady was very nice, I ran into her several times. The lobby personnel was also courteous, however, in many instances they didn't seem to know what is going on. For example, to exchange USD to MX pesos I was told to go back at a certain time which I did, other staff did not know why I had been told to do such and they still didn't have the ability to exchange currencies.
They also can make it quite confusing about making reservations for certain restaurants. For instance, we were told a restaurant was not taking reservations because it was closed for the day, but it however was open all day.
**This brings me to enforcement of dress codes in some of their restaurants. They pick and choose who to enforce dress codes upon. My uncle was turned away at one of the restaurants for wearing (formal) shorts. Another guy came in wearing informal shorts and sandals which my wife was quick to notice and got quite mad about.
***But the worse, in your face, negative experience I had was at the bar. I should point out it was one particular, older bartender, all the other bartenders I met were very nice. I am a US citizen but I grew up in Mexico and speak Spanish with a native, northern Jalisco accent. I approached the bar without a mask and the man refused me service and told me that in fact, I could not be near the bar area. It was starting to rain a little so I walked across towards the towel checkout kiosk. While there, a Caucasian woman without a mask approached the same bartender who this time sounded more than happy to get her order. I yelled at the guy in Spanish "hey, I'm from the US too, can I get a drink?" and he looked at me and smirked. I wonder if I should had spoken English to him in order to get a drink or if he would have refused service to me because I still looked Mexican.
You need to address these issues, word of mouth can change people's minds about booking a reservation with you.

Erik Cerna, Sandra Sepulueda and Luis Robles we’re very nice and attentive during our visit. They took good care of us during our stay and we enjoyed their company. The drinks and service were exceptional.

We received the best service from the staff, especially during the day time at the pool with Julio Larios and Agustin Loeza. They made our vacation delightful and we will be back because of them. They are both very friendly and helpful with everything and are excellent workers. Request these two when and if you can. Together they are the best team! Gracias!
