More about the hotel
Not the worst, but not pleasant
We chose La Quinta when changing plans last minute and needing a place that would allow two cats. When we first arrived our room smelled terribly of smoke. The front desk was very helpful in allowing us to select a new room which only smelled faintly of smoke and urine. We were disappointed that the fridge was broken and we had to throw out our food, but given the short length of our stay we were okay with making it work. The room was relatively clean but every day we found something new that a guest must have left behind which made us question how deep of a clean it really was. The worst part was that our toilet clogged and overflowed everywhere. Maintenance helped to unclog it (temporarily) and soak up the water with towels, but we would've hoped that they would have someone help us actually clean the floors. We left a day early in part because of that. Overall I really appreciate the care of the staff, but the place itself was far less than desirable for the price. If I could go back, I would've stayed where we are now (Home2 Suites in South SF) and payed not too much more for drastically better service, a super clean room, a completely smoke free hotel, and even a kitchenette.
DOUBLE CHARGES ME
They lie to you face and say that you did not pay or book and make you pay AGAIN. charging you AGAIN and refuse to having talk to manager corporate or ANY type of supervisor! Choose different hotel!!!
Not up to La Quinta standards
This is an inadequate hotel. Everything is old and dirty and needs to be replaced and updated. The dresser in our room was broken, the television had only 2 or 3 channels and no local news (important because we were sheltering from a Red Alert for fire danger). The sheets had stains, and the carpet was sticky. It was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
Do NOT STAY HERE
I rented a room here for my daughter and her husband for their stay over the Labor Day. When they woke up in the morning? There was a HUGE rat running across the floor. Front desk was rude and acted as if they were lying. Refunded only one day of the stay. 3 days later I am still awaiting our deposit back. I will NEVER rent there again.
Terrible customer service
I have stayed here a few times in the last year while commuting to work and the customer service continues to determinate and is becoming terrible. considering how most hotel occupancy rates are plummeting I would expect hotels to be considerate of the needs of their guests needs. The front desk staff counties to develop a worse attitude every time I visit. It seems like most don’t even want to try and meet the needs of their guests. They are very rude and especially now during the Covid outbreak, and occupancy rates plummeting, you would think they would at least have the appearance of caring about their customers. Here is a list of examples I encountered: 1. Hotel front desk staff on thief personal phones social media apps and not looking At me when I am asking questions. 2. I checked in late and barely made it for breakfast at 0900 but because of the covid outbreak they only had sack breakfasts available And had already removed mine and gave it to someone else. No attempt to even help me. 3. Constantly interrupting me while I am trying to ask a question about other Food options (since they gave mine away) 4. Before COVID 2019, the hotel transportation was notoriously late and not on schedule making determining what time to schedule difficult because the van could be as much as 40 minutes late. 5. On weekends, the noise level at this hotel is out of control sometimes with lots of partying, marijuana smoking etc.. 6. Questionable illegal business activity of a certain “variety” stays here I’ve noticed. This was my last stay at this hotel.
