Awesome hotel and service

Staff was amazing, they really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Reception helped me carry my bags to my room and was always readily available when needed. I even got back to the hotel late one night and didn’t know the restaurant was closed but reception so graciously made me a pizza anyways which I really appreciated.
I ordered several meals at the restaurant and they were delicious. Breakfast was made to order and the chef was excellent.
The room was beautiful and comfortable. The owner always made sure I had everything I needed and booked me a paragliding excursion which was awesome and went very smoothly. He also recommended a hike that was a highlight of my trip.
The hotel is close to several things or a quick bus ride away. the location is very quiet and peaceful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to visit again!
A Very Special Place

Yet again another wonderful holiday has come to an end. Stayed in the villa again for 4 weeks. Arrived on 23 Sept and departed on 21 Oct.
Our visit, as always, was very special and our 25th visit to the wonderful Olive Tree and hope many more to come.
For those who don’t know, the Olive Tree is set on the outskirts of Hisaronu on the road to Kayakoy (Ghost Town). Rooms are priced on a bed and breakfast basis (adults only). It is in a quiet setting overlooking the forest, and you can see Babadag Mountain in the distance from the back of the property. The village of Hisaronu is only a few minutes walk with many shops and restaurants. The beach resort of Olu Deniz is a short bus ride away.
All the rooms are of a high quality with daily maid service from the wonderful Nermin. All rooms provide A/C, TV, dressing gowns, slippers, minibar, fruit and wine on arrival, tea & coffee making facilities etc. Nothing is ever too much trouble and all the staff are very attentive and look after all their guests very well. Found our Turkish paradise in 2007 and haven’t looked back since.
The pool is set in a landscaped garden with sunbeds for everyone and pool towels are provided. A wide range of drinks are available from the bar whether it be alcoholic or non alcoholic. There is also a fine dining restaurant within the property which is open to all.
A delightful breakfast is available and made to order, whether it be Turkish, full English, poached eggs on toast, it is your choice.
There is a weekly private boat trip available. Sadly the BBQ and belly-dancing evening had to be cancelled this year due to the pandemic but hopefully this will be back next year.
After the situation earlier in the year when no-one was permitted to travel, it was hoped that the season would end on a high as Turkey was deemed to be a very safe place to travel to, but this was not to be when quarantine was announced on return to the UK from 4 Oct all because Turkey were reporting figures differently from the UK. That said, COVID numbers are considerably lower than in the UK and virus free in the Hisaronu / Fethiye / Olu Deniz area. This was such a shame for the Olive Tree and all other businesses as all package holidays were cancelled and arrivals dropped drastically.
Turkey is a very safe place to travel to and felt far safer being at the Olive Tree and surrounding area than being in the UK.
Lets hope the 2021 holiday season is a great success for everyone.
As always our personal thanks to Halil, Mustafa, Mete, Lila, Nermin, chef Halil and the bar staff for making our holiday very special once again.
Hope to see you all at Christmas, but if not, will be with you all again on 19 May 2021.
Lots of love. Gill xxx
We loved it, it was fabulous.

What a wonderful laid back little gem this is. The food is good, the beer is cold, everyone is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We went on the boat trip which was great. Thank you to all at the Olive tree for a lovely holiday, as soon as all of this uncertainty ends we'll return. Loved it.

We booked this holiday very last minute as our original holiday to Spain was cancelled because of Covid-19.
We usually do lots of research into the area we are going to but had no time to do this.
We got lucky! What a fantastic find this was. We were greeted like old friends and treated like this during the whole stay.
The studios are large and rustic style. They are cleaned every day. The mini bar is reasonably priced and refilled every day.
The pool area is lovely although if you are a sun worshiper, you may have to move beds during the day whilst you chase it! It depends which lounger you get first thing!
Breakfast is all made to order, no menu and I don’t think I ever heard them say that something wasn’t available.
We ate in their restaurant in the evenings a few times including a curry night for residents. Definitely the best meals we had.
We didn’t venture out much during the day but did go on a boat trip organised for residents only. I finally found my sea legs on this trip (I’m in my 50s!) and loved the trip. We stopped regularly for swimming and lunch was provided by the Olive Tree.
Hisaronu town is probably usually packed in the evenings but COVID-19 made it a much quieter place! We’re not sure we would have enjoyed it as much in the town during normal times. There are lots of bars and restaurants, nail bars and hairdressers that are all reasonably priced. The ‘genuine fake’ shops are great, lots of bargains to be had but it’s worth checking the quality of the item you’re buying as they all differ. I bought some ‘Ugg’ slippers for about £6 - they’re great and I don’t care that they’re fake!
We recommend the Olive Tree and hope to go back again in the next few years.
