FIRST TIME IN ARUBA AND AN AMAZING STAY AND EXPERIENCE AT THIS RESORT!!!
We went to Aruba to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint at all. We ultimately chose to stay at the Divi because of the location and great all inclusive rates and we are so glad we did. We stayed in an oceanside room and it was such a great decision. We would literally walk to the sand about 20 feet from our 1st floor balcony. The staff was excellent and so friendly. There are many different food and beverage stations so that was nice. Dinner choices were great too. They have a standard breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet location but there are dinner options that you can reserve. We did purelime (mexican), red parrot (fine dining), and Palm (hibachi). It was really really nice to get out. I highly highly recommend anyone going to Aruba to stay at the Divi.
Fabulous trip!
Can’t even explain how awesome this place is! It’s like being on your own private island. We were in room 335, first floor, 10 feet from the beach. Food was good, service was excellent. Resort is really clean and updated, completely open air. Bring lots of sunscreen, snorkel gear, towel clips, yeti tumblers, bathing suits, cover ups, don’t worry about going out wear, no need for anything more than flip flops. All open air, so you didn’t have to worry about wearing a mask. We saw many 10 guest a day, so social distancing wasn’t a problem. Took our 7 year old on a UTV tour, was so fun and would do again. Rented private boat tour for fishing and snorkeling through Driftwood, it was fun, the tour guides could have been more engaging, we unfortunately didn’t catch any fish. Went to local markets, grocery store, and had lunch and dinner off sight, taxi’s are everywhere and there’s a taxi app you should download when you get there, so you can go off the beaten path and not worry about a ride. Taxis are readily available at airport and a very short ride to the resort. And only $26. One of my favorite trips ever!!
Awesome Visit again
We just returned from 2 weeks at the resort. From the minute you arrive until you leave the Divi staff goes out of their way to welcome you and assist you in every way. The front desk staff, Jennifer, Josie and Rafeek are amazing. They went out of their way for us when we had to extend our stay. The bartenders, Allan, Robertico, Chino, Richard, Curtis and the rest make the best drinks around with big smiles! Erika, at the activities desk, helped with all our dinner reservations and activities both on the resort and off! The dining staff at the buffet, Idol, Ricky, Mary and Miquelina welcomed us every morning with big smiles and were awesome! In fact the dining staff at all the restaurants were great! I want to give a shout out to Brenda the DJ. She kept us entertained nightly and we enjoyed spending time with her. I don't want to forget the staff behind the scenes. Our maid Sosa was very sweet and took care of us every day! The pool staff were up early and cleaning the pools and pool areas before the sun even came up! And lastly the grounds keepers kept the property immaculate. This was our 6th stay at the resort and the staff is the reason we keep returning.
An absolutely wonderful experience
We just came back from a week at the Divu all inclusive resort in Aruba. We had such a phenomenal experience that I had to share a review of this resort. For starters, there were a lot of unknowns traveling out of the country during COVID. Aruba as a whole did a fantastic job keeping everyone safe and distanced but the Divi went above and beyond. Our room was sparkling clean every day, the temperature checks and sanitizing stations were well placed and easy to use, and the entire resort was spotless. Everything we experienced while at the Divi was above and beyond what we could have expected. The all-inclusive restaurants were fantastic. We ate almost all of them and had excellent experiences at all of them. The gym was spotless. Due to social distancing appointments were required which were easily scheduled on the Divi app. The equipment and facilities inside the gym were fantastic as well. The beach. We spent a lot of time under the palapas on this absolutely stunning beach. It was freshly groomed every morning. The sand is gorgeous and the crystal clear Caribbean water is steps away from the hotel. The service was outstanding in all areas. The housekeeping staff was the best, allowing us to schedule the same time every day for housekeeping so we could plan our days. The bellmen with the luggage, shuttles to the various parts of their campus, the concierge with ideas for exploring the island and everyone else we encountered were all not only incredibly helpful but wonderfully nice all the time. I know Aruba is “One Happy Island” but the Divi All-Inclusive is my “One Happy Resort” and I hope to be able to return in the near future.
