Lovely Visit at Brasada Ranch

Amazing place. Life slows down to a relaxing crawl. Delicious food. Definitely recommend the Range restaurant. We loved the Feast by the Fire with live music. Enjoyed a fabulous horse back trail ride. Ask for Bobbi Jo and Chris as your wranglers - they are great! Everyone at the Ranch is so friendly and wanting to ensure a great stay. Lovely time here. We definitely want to return!
Brasada Ranch Review

We enjoyed a wonderful 7 days in the greater Bend area. This part of Oregon is spectacular - endless outdoor activities and natural beauty. We chose Brasada Ranch as our home base. Overall, pleased, so here’s the pros and cons.
First, I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff. Welcoming, helpful, always smiling. Genuinely want to help and make our stay pleasant.
We rented a four bedroom condo. I believe it was maintained by the ranch as we rented directly through them. It was overall clean but definitely a bit worn. Stains on bedroom carpet was most noticeable. Not quite as luxurious as pictures indicated, but again, clean and kitchen had all appliances and items needed, and enough towels for our week.
There were issues with condo - no hot water first night which was quickly fixed, lights went out a couple of times (also quickly fixed), showers without doors that spray water across bathroom floor. Nothing major, but still small nuisances. The air conditioning unit is on a program and we struggled to cool the upstairs at first but figured it out and there was a dripping sound from upstairs unit that was heard in downstairs unit.
With all of this said still very comfortable and spacious and with a little more upkeep would be even better.
The grounds are well maintained and pretty.
Pool area smaller than expected and very crowded and noisy. The lazy river is not quite a real lazy river that we picked (more of a current in a regular pool) but strangely fun! The area could be a bit cleaner towards the end of the day (cups and masks on ground) but we still enjoyed the pool.
Trail ride was great - Christopher is wonderful, and my husband and son enjoyed the driving range.
The resort fee is ridiculously expensive and I have no idea what it goes to. You pay for everything except the pool as far as I know.
Would I recommend Brasada Ranch? Probably only if you are just using it as a base and not expecting a quiet, luxurious, sit at the pool vacation. It was great for what we wanted, but could use some updating.
But again, a big thank you to the staff. They are truly wonderful.
Lovely but not the best for hikers

The unit was lovely although all the kitchen appliances need updating- we literally bought another coffee maker after trying their Mr. Coffee and the dishwasher is old/loud and the washer stunk (but I had brought my HEX detergent, which took care of that!). Hot tub was nice but jets didn't work so more like a warm bath but still, it was nice under the stars.
Dinner place had such loud music (and not that good) that we tried twice to eat there but ended up leaving both times because we couldn't talk to each other. The more relaxed dining was better but too little shade (why can't they get umbrellas that bend?)
But the biggest dissatisfier was its miles from anywhere. The front desk said there were hiking and biking trails nearby but that's not true. So at least a 30 minute drive to any hike or good bike trail or to Bend for kayaking. We got tired of getting in the car.
Lovely getaway but you really have to want to get away and stay away :)
Perfect couples get-away

We stayed in a gorgeous cabin on the 8th fairway - great cabin feel that had everything we needed. The view of the mountains was mesmerizing. Each morning, we made coffee, sat on the porch, and just watched the world wake up. During our 6 days, we played 4 rounds of golf, explored Bend, tried an exercise class, and went fly fishing.
I highly recommend you try golf lessons with Kyle. My husband and I took a group lesson and Kyle managed to help both of us at the same time (our skill levels are very different). We both have had golf lessons before, Kyle was able to explain the required corrections in simple, easy to follow terms. And, my husband enjoyed having his swing analyzed by the Launch Monitor.
The restaurants at the resort were wonderful - the Ranch is more casual and a perfect place for a post golf meal; the Range is a fine dining experience. Don't miss the yummy s'mores! Homemade graham crackers and homemade marshmallows - worth the splurge! Plus a beautiful sunset over the Cascade Mountain range, while you sit next to a huge firepit.
We also ordered the "Ranch Platters" one evening - the resort delivered everything we needed to cook our dinner on our own back porch grill (even the spices!) Sounds weird to think you want to cook on vacation, but it was very fun!
The views from all around the resort are spectacular. I am so happy we chose this fantastic resort for our first "no kids" vacation in many years.
Waste of time and money

Don’t waste your time here. Limited hours available for pool and rec center. Drinks are overpriced and under served. Paid $10 for a plastic cup of wine poured out of a can. Use to get the whole whopping 12 oz for the $10, now you get about 5 oz and they save the rest of the van for the next person. What a joke. They have the ability to be open more but the poor management chooses to run on a skeleton crew because they are so cheap! Please do your homework before staying here. There are many places around the area that are more accommodating. A couple of the employees are great but the management is terrible!!! Your also 13-20 miles from anything. Try getting some food there on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Good luck.
