Dinner ruined my holiday
Stayed 2 weeks from late September to mid October, Hotel was ok 3 star, staff generally were good,. Paid for bed breakfast and dinner. Dinner was a disaster, salad consisted of shredded lettuce full stop, asked for French dressing, told no, asked if I could have tomatoes, No. pasta was so salty I could not eat it. Menu was very poor main course two choices, after 4 days was told if I didn’t like choice I could have a pizza. The head waiter was very abrupt. Those were the worst meals That I ever had in any establishment anywhere.I even spoke to the cook, certainly not a chef.I spent all my working life as a chef and a number of years teaching catering, so I think that I can speak with some authority on what To expect from a meal. Note my wife does not like pizza or anything containing cheese, she was not expecting anything great, luckily we found a couple of places that did a nice tuna sandwich and chips., but you can,t have that everyday. A shame the meals spoilt a good holiday. Needless to say we won,t be back
Nice , cosy and clean
Hotel is very cosy, quiet , peaceful location, very clean, staff is friendly and kind. The location is peaceful but you have to walk aprox 15 - 20 mins to the beach or to the centre. Our room was with nice big terrace, really clean and with fresh towels every day. We had just breakfast in the hotel which was basic. I would recommend for a peaceful stay.
Super clean and value for money
For a budget hotel this surpassed our expectations. Everywhere feels clean, rooms are spacious and we were lucky to have a balcony overlooking the back mountains. Breakfast is okay , you get what you pay for but is enough. Air con needs to be stronger but all in all, we were pleased with our stay.
Spotlessly Clean - Wonderfully Helpful Staff
Just back from a week here and we had a nice room with en suite and a balcony with a nice view. The first thing that comes to mind is the cleanliness throughout the hotel but in particular our room, the lady who cleaned it always had a smile even though she didn't speak a word of English and she went above and beyond. One of the receptionists; Manuela was most helpful and she was the one we went to for her command of English. We were a little disappointed with the food, we had pre-paid for breakfasts and dinners, breakfast was fine but there was very little choice for dinner; 3 choices for starters, 3 mains and just one choice of dessert. On two of the days there was no choice at all - we had to have what was served to us, we went hungry one night because we didn't like the choice. Most of the dishes consisted of fish or pasta so I didn't feel there was enough choice. The hotel is a 20-25 minute walk to the beach if walking at a steady pace (we timed it) and the town centre is only a 10 minute walk. There are 5 more beaches just a short drive away - situated on the edge of a large nature reserve, we only visited one of them but it was a white sandy beach.
Lovely and cozy hotel
Lovely and cozy hotel in a god location, free shutle bus to the beach and near the shops and city centre. They keep the rooms clean, I felt really good in there. Room is standardly furnished but comfortable. I also loved breakfasts, so tasty and various. Staff were friendly and englih speaking, they really try.
