Reasonable

I booked this hotel for my visit to Montreal during Formula 1 with my brother. We booked 2 queen-size beds but when we checked in, they told us that they were only able to give us 1 king-size bed because everything else was taken - super awkward for us. We didn't really have a choice though. It was obvious that it was fully renovated not too long ago as the exterior and the rooms looked quite new. Luckily the rooms were quite clean. The rooms are, however, rather dark and very very basic - no water boiler no nothing. The tap water also tasted funky - I even brought my own water boiler to boil water but it was just not drinkable even if I put a teabag to cover the taste. There is a juice and water machine in the morning during breakfast so we used that timeframe to get as much water from there as possible, and if we missed - then we would purchase bottled water. The only thing is, they didn't let us know that no one would be cleaning our room due to Covid protocols - which is fine- but it would have been great if they could have just let us know in advance. Overall, it wasn't too bad and one of the least expensive (and affordable) options during Formula 1 weekend - though it is still VERY expensive. Oh, one thing to mention is- the keycard they gave us didn't work after the 2nd day and we had to request for another one but that was their spare key which they said that we absolutely cannot lose. But that spare key was not able to open the backdoor but the original door was able to do so. Either way, it was just very awkward.

The outside threw me off

When we first pulled in my husband and I laughed thinking we drove to the wrong place. After googling a bit more and looking at the area we did realize this was the place. For being a short notice place they were great for accommodating a family of 4 with a dog but I just wish the place didn’t look so extremely sketchy on the outside. Having an animal we were put on ground floor with hardwood which was understandable but walking in the hall I could smell cat urine. We were placed in an accessible room as I believe that’s all they had which was great minus not having a tub to give the kids a bath. The shower was beautiful but not ideal for 2 young children. We had booked two days and since this stay was to move into our new place I had hoped to be able to take the kids for a walk or a green area while my husband supervised the movers but there was no walkway, cement or really any grassy area. Other then that if you are looking for a place to lay your head while you enjoy the downtown and tour around this might be a great choice but until the Renovation are done I wouldn’t recommend it to families without warning them of the situation.

Ok for a sleep

Booked via choice hotel site for 118$ for a ground floor room. Checked in at 7pm... The outside of the hotel is under renovation and is a mess, with damage to the asphalt, and front entrance barred off (you must do a Detour by a side entrance so inconvenient). Got a room in the back, with king bed, microwave, fridge, recent lcd tv, recently renovated, very nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was also clean, with shower only. The covid breakfast consisted of a sandwich to reheat, muffin, fruit salad, and orange juice. Overall, OK for a stop on your way somewhere else.

Quiet and comfortable

Excellent Pet friendly room on the ground floor with easy access to my car, newly renovated and very comfortable bed. Tarik was warm and welcoming, and check in was a breeze. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, but for early mornings... It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room.

Never again

First let me start off by saying I love comfort inn (brand) and I was horrified when I was at this location. They were under renovation so there was dust and other construction things no big deal. But when I woak up with ants all over myself and the floor and the bathroom!!! I instantly grabbed my bag and left. Itching all the way to the alt where I grabbed a long shower. As a dimond choice privileges member I was shocked and confused with the state of this location. When I told the front desk on my way out about the ants they acted like it was normal. I offered to show them the room or even a picture and they simply said "no that's fine" I would not recommend this place. Go across the street to best Western they are amazing but unfortunately shut down for the pandemic and I was forced to find a new hotel (this terrible comfort inn)
