We loved our stay at Paragon 700!

Reviewed 4 november, 2022

My husband and I had such an amazing stay at Paragon700! We loved the intimate property, friendly staff, and delicious cuisine. The hotel is located in the first Masseria in Ostuni and has only 11 rooms. Each room has it's own unique design and style. Leonardo is their head bartender and he is awesome, so friendly and makes great cocktails. We took an awesome cocktail class with Freya and learned how to make classic Italian cocktails and the history behind each drink. We also loved Ostuni! Such a beautiful little city located high up on a hill overlooking the ocean. If you're looking for a true Italian experience with little to no American tourists, I definitely recommend Ostuni and Paragon700.

Beautiful hotel and helpful staff

Reviewed 5 october, 2022

We stayed at the hotel during the 3rd week of September when the weather was still hot so we were able to enjoy the lovely pool and outdoor lounge area. Our rooms were spacious and well appointed and the air conditioning worked well at keeping the room cool at night. We enjoyed two dinners at the hotel and great breakfasts during our stay. What really stood out was the outstanding service we received from all the employees. We also appreciated their willingness and ability to help us with reservations for restaurants and activities. Shout out to Cosimo, our favorite waiter.

The team were brilliant! They were incredibly helpful and always on hand to assist us with any requests. They gave us great recommendations. Service was always with a smile. The layout is also really unique - it's a beautifully built hotel.

Best hotel in Puglia

Reviewed 13 september, 2022

Paragon 700 has the highest hotel standard. The design by Pascale Lauber is simply exquisite. If you want to visit Puglia in style, you must plan to stay here. Leonardo and his team at the bar are world class. The restaurant team serve up some of the best meals we had the entire trip. I can’t say enough about our stay. They really made us feel at home and cared for. Will be back!

Style over substance

Reviewed 4 august, 2022

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately was extremely disappointed. It does have some cool design elements, and the rooms are generously proportioned and comfortable, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about the hotel. My room (Ruby) was nice, and judging from the photos I looked at there are some nicer ones up for grabs. The food was perhaps the worst thing about the hotel: out of two meals I had there, I had just one good dish (a pasta option) and everything else was terribly bland (especially the ceviche, which was served with avocado that was practically rock hard). My attempt to eat on the terrace was also one of the most instantaneous mosquital annihilations I've ever experienced, to the point that I decided to eat inside. The pool area is quite cramped, and doesn't have the most pleasant surroundings; when I asked whether I could go to the spa, I was told it was booked for the next 2 days solid, which was longer than the duration of my stay. A complaint about my room as well: the bathtub is rectangular in shape, with right angles on each side, making it completely and utterly pointless since it's ridiculously uncomfortable to sit in. As with most of the hotel, it feels like all the effort went into the design, without any care to ensure that guests actually have a good experience. Probably the biggest complaint of all, is that the price is just completely ridiculous. I paid nearly 900 euros for my room alone, which is at least double what a fair price would be considering the food and facilities. If you're passing through the area, my suggestion is just to check out Ostuni on a day trip, and stay in a place like Matera which in my opinion has more to see and offers better options for accommodation.
