What a change

Reviewed 21 november, 2022

$1500 a night room (not suite). No help with luggage. No valet. No restaurant- just grille. New ownership really changed this hotel. Upon checking in I asked for assistance with my luggage. “We don’t do that”. While I’m trying to get luggage manager comes out and asks me to move my car and park it below. Self parking only under hotel. Room service - not good. My last trip here. Avoid.

Large, clean room for quick visit to Ole Miss

Reviewed 13 september, 2022

My daughter and I flew to Ole Miss so that she could participate in the Dance Team Clinic. We had to check out of the first hotel we had originally booked because it was filthy. I phoned the Chancellor's House at 8:30pm that evening to check availability. We arrived to our room and it was large and very clean. I am the type of traveler who takes cleaning supplies and inspects various portions of the room. All surfaces met approval. My only concern is that in the hallway you could smell must. I could see there had been various water stains on the carpet and know that the south is humid and experiences these types of issues. I would consider replacing the hallway carpets. We were not sleeping in the hallway so it was fine. If we return, we will be booking at room at the Chancellor's House.

Wonderful location, but very underwhelming property.

We were excited to stay right on the square for a recent visit to Ole Miss. While unpacking w discovered there were no hangers. When hangers were delivered to our room we were given plastic hangers. No wooden trouser hangers that are standard at most hotels, especially of the Chancellor House caliber. Also missing was an iron and ironing board. The next morning when I went down for coffee at 9:00 am there was none left and when I let the woman at the front desk know. She seemed annoyed she had to go and refresh the pot. I wasn't asking at 4:00pm. Just the simple things that the "marquee" hotel on the square should be on top of are lacking. I will say the student interns from Ole Miss were very friendly, but seemed in over their heads. Rumors of new management are swirling. I hope they get this once wonderful hotel back to it's former glory. But it's not there now.

Beautiful Hotel

We stayed just one night here on a college visit to Ole Miss, wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was beautiful and the service was wonderful, from the sweet girls that checked us in to the cute bartender in the restaurant, I wish I remembered their names. The food was also amazing, we had the shrimp and grits and lobster Mac n cheese, delicious! I highly recommend this hotel for you next trip to Oxford. Ole Miss is a beautiful campus and Oxford is the cutest town, we loved our time there!

Amazing!!!

My recent stay at Chancellor's House in Oxford, MS was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay special, they were extremely accommodating and recommended some great places for dining and cocktails. I stayed in the premiere king which had optimal space and all the charm i was looking for. I was also informed that they're planning some exciting renovations to the property and I can't wait to come back and see what they do.
