It was very over priced for the small, thin, ragged, stained towels we had. The TV didn’t work and although the desk manager finally got it hooked up correctly the remote did not work with all the controls. The room was very small and the decor very old and tired.
Now for an inexpensive hotel it would have been fine. The water in the shower was nice and hot and the beds comfortable but for the price we were charged we should have had a large suite with plush towels not the small room with an on and off working TV which sat in front of the mirror. There was not a clock in the room.
The woman setting up breakfast made the comment that all “the boys were eating her food”. I thought that’s why they offered breakfast.
A smile would have been appreciated but we were not offered one from the desk manager. We will not be going back. When we’re ready to spend that much money we’ll go to a 5 star motel not a two star wanna be.
Clean, but no staff

Everything was nice and clean; we had no problem there. But the front desk person had to find a luggage cart, and we finally walked our stuff in ourselves. We had read that it didn't have an elevator, so when making the reservation asked for a first floor room.
And we seldom saw anyone at the front desk. And even when it was night, the front and side doors were kept wide open. Definitely a safety issue! We worried that anyone could walk in without anyone noticing. We also figured it's why we had a moth in our room. We won't be staying there again.

To be honest, WORST hotel stay of my entire life. Stayed 5-nights for s business trip (paid ahead in-full). First night, realized the hotel was dirty, carpet was sticky, no water in room, telephone didn't work, no elevator to 2nd floor, exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work, desk lamp (and associated outlets) didn't work, and cable TV kept cutting out. Went down to talk to Front Desk, it ended-up being the female owner, she told me "If you need me, just come down. The phone line doesn't work, I'm sorry." Also told me "Don't ask for a discount when you checkout because the room doesn't work, you paid; no discounts!" I was shocked, but realized what I was up against.
Next morning, 'breakfast' was scant, disgusting and cold. Limited coffee creamer, very limited food (like 5 sausages and a large ladle of egg mixture stuff), gravy was indiscernible as gravy, biscuits seemed alright.
Room noise is LOUD! You can hear everything through your doors, walls (and ceiling)! Horrible.
Went to checkout and I told the Front Desk that he "was working hard on being the worst hotel in America." - turned out it was the male Owner. He started *screaming* at me to "Get the F&*K out"! Telling me he "was from Chicago" and to "F-off". Now, I've had 'bad hotel stays' in my life (I've traveled a lot for school, business and pleasure), but I have never had anything happen like this - ever.
If you have a choice of staying here, or a barn...stay happily at the barn. I saw some nice ones in the area and most folks in this town seemed very friendly. Just not here.

The clerk had several issues checking us in, as well as, the customers before us. Asking us several times our phone number, reservation #, and our names. Making us feel as if we hadn’t made a reservation prior to our arrival. We stood around the lobby 45 to an hour to get our keys. Ridiculous!

I travel often for both business and personal. Let me tell you this is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at in any price range. Each time I stay here it’s always clean! The staff are helpful and nice too. This is a little gem between Springfield and Branson.
