Excellent Customer Support

Excellent customer service provided by Jorge Mendoza. He was able to solve our needs and with the best attitude, there must be more people like him. Is a beautiful and confortable place and the food is delicious.

Executive Lounge is still closed but selling rooms with "Lounge Access"

Reviewed 24 september, 2022

The hotel should not sell a room with lounge access when the Executive Lounge is not open. That's false advertising and probably constitutes fraud. Nothing was offered as replacement. The exterior of the hotel is looking pretty shabby. Needs a good painting for sure. The breakfast buffet lacks variety. When you stay multiple days, you pretty much eat the same thing over and over. The bath toiletries were 4 different non-matching brands, just tacky. I played tennis on the property for an hour and got relegated to a horrible court with peeling surface and grungy surroundings because the 2 newly repaved courts were "reserved for members". I guess hotel guests are just second class citizens. The San Francisco area is convenient to the airport but the surrounding neighborhood is mainly residential so it does not have many restaurants except for the overrated Brutto. I wouldn't stay here again in the future.

Dinner with a large group

Reviewed 2 august, 2022

It is not what it used to be. Staff was not friendly, they seemed bothered to just be there. Place still has the good looks, but the experience was bad. Taste of the food was good, but the plate presentation a bit ugly. Not what you would imagine for a 5 star hotel

Quick business stay

Reviewed 17 april, 2022

The hotel grounds are nice, admittedly I didn't get to see it all. Only had breakfast buffet there (which was really good with great variety). As for the room, clean, service every morning with room cleaned, beds made, etc...replacement of towels a little lacking. Some issues for the room that need some attention, the bathroom doesn't have any exhaust fan. There is no mirror in the bedroom, so if someone is using the bathroom and another wants to get ready in the room, no mirror. Bathroom for standard rooms is pretty small. Had to request more items (shampoo, etc as only had one bottle). The hairdryer is pitiful, super weak and takes forever to dry your hair. Front desk was super confused on how to properly split the bill for us on business sharing a room. Took a long time and they still didn't figure it out properly. That said, the lady working evenings at desk was super nice and helpful. Another thing- carry some small first aid items for your guests like bandaids since there is no store in resort for this kind of thing. Overall, good stay, quiet hotel with good service, just needs a few improvements. Would stay again though.

Weekend stay with a purpose!

Reviewed 27 march, 2022

We reserved here for ease of pickup for our main event. This trip was planned around a full transit of the canal, which is only offered one Saturday a month with only certain hotels being pick up sites. We got 2 nights in an upgraded room for 18,000 points. We must have had a free night thrown in. We easily walked to El Trapiche and had an interesting Panamanian Feast and drinks. We were there the 18th and left the 20th. We had drinks and food at the hotel. And service was always good, no matter how busy they were. Food and drinks were good. (Cubano at the Cafe was awesome!) Check in was smooth and room was ready early. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly and helpful. Check out was a little slow, but you're not in America, so it was fine. You can't handle everything on line. Our pre-arranged transfer was right on time. The room was clean and well equipped. There was a beer (wine and limited liquor) accross the street, as well as a general market for drugstore items and a diner. We didn't go to the diner. There was also a little bar/restaurant right behind the hotel we didn't get to, but wanted to. We went to a couple of bars and the Cafe in the hotel. All were good. We spent all of Saturday on the canal. Such an interesting, historical adventure!
