You're in the heart of Paris !

Reviewed 25 october, 2022

Stayed here early Oct 2022. There are so many place to stay in Paris, I chose this one based on the proximity to the RER station at Chatlet les Halles. The hotel is less then a 10 minute walk from the station, which worked out great for us as we were able to take the RER from the airport and to Disneyland Paris. The Louvre is also less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel, we were also able to walk to Musee L'orangerie from hotel and Musee D'orsay. We arrived about 1/2 hour before check in, front desk held our bags and had them in our room upon our return. The neighbor hood as many cool looking cafe's and boulnageries. We had amazing chocolate croissants at two of them. There is also an area with fast food restaurants near Chatlet les Halles if you want a quicker meal. The room is small but well appointed, the gorgeous windows open which was a wonderful treat. I also fell in love with the lights in the shower. The rooms and hotel were very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast (which you pay an additional fee for) looked good, but we did not try it as we were eager to start our Paris adventures in the mornings. There is also a fun chalkboard wall in the elevator. The only snafu we had was that there was no one at the front desk when we checked out, it was around 6 am, so I had to call from the airport to checkout and it was fine and easy. Would 1,000% stay here again upon our return to Paris. Thank you for a wonderful stay !

Great location and attentive staff

Great location and attentive staff, stayed for 2 nights, slight noise from building works opposite but would still recommend. Breakfast is buffet with good continental selection. Lots of good restaurants and cafe’s within walking distance

Exceptional value for price, amazing location

I loved staying at Crayon Rouge. Room was small (it’s Paris so that’s expected) but had a lovely boutique feel. Bathroom had high end products, great wardrobe with brand new safe, beautiful room furnishings and secured stairs and elevator through your room key. I slept so well each night and couldn’t hear other guests. Amazing location very close to restaurants and the Louvre. I look forward to staying here again!!

Perfect if you need an air-conditioned room

Reviewed 12 august, 2022

I chose this hotel because my other accommodation has no a/c and Paris was having heatwave. For that purpose it was perfect, as I did not need much space or a view. It was also in a great location, close to the Palais Royal and Louvre, and not far from the metro. The overhead shower did not work, so I had to shower while holding the handheld attachment in one hand. When I reported this, they indicated this was known, however it did not seem to be considered an issue. Also, the shower door wouldn't seal so their was always leakage into the floor. On 2 evenings, I could not reach reception, either by phone or by going downstairs (they claim to be available 24x7). Eventually, I reached someone by going outside and ringing the doorbell.

A great boutique hotel to stay at

We had such a great stay here. We were in the small double bed room. It was tiny - no space to walk around - but we were only in the room to nap and sleep so it didn’t matter. The bed was super comfortable and bigger than a double. The location was amazing near metro and the Louvre. The staff were so helpful recommending a great neighbourhood to go eat in that was a happening place and also helped me find a replacement for something that broke on a Sunday when some stores weren’t open. Only negative (besides size of room which I was prepared for) was that the last win shower head didn’t work in the shower but the handheld worked fine. I fully recommend this hotel and would go back again.
