The hotel for sure is not new, but we found a warm room, cleen and comfortable beds, and for sure super cordial polite and friendly staff. 150 for 3 nights during Xmas days is really the best price you can find with a hotel like this one. Thanx, Mattia and stefy
Horrible and run down
Horrible hotel, very old and run down. We were told to go to there sister hotel even though we had booked at hotel Bordeaux. And the sister hotel was worse. Staff weren’t very friendly or helpful. Wouldn’t recommend
One night stay, just a place to sleep with a teenager.Dirty, small and smelly room.Toilet smells, no warm water at all. Not even 1 star hotel.Avoid. Cold room,no blankets.Towels are dirty (but so what,no warm water available). Breakfast downstairs,2 croissants and paquet, marmelad, Coffee was fine. When arrived, the receptionist was eating and laying at sofabed, watching tv, juts like in him own bedroom.
Hotel in walking distance to station and metro & in a trendy area
It is 5 years since we stayed at this hotel, and the hotel itself has not changed much but the area has. The area is now very trendy with lots of young people, bars & great eating houses, a great vibe. Once arriving at Gare de Est the hotel is within walking distance, and very convenient, a good location for travelers. The room was basic with no tea making facilities (you can ask for them), plus we had trouble with opening the room door. The breakfast was adequate, only wish there were more of the beautiful croissants! We needed a laundromat & there is one not far from the hotel, which was good. Staff during the day were very friendly & helpful.
Basic hotel in good location
The room had all the basic amenities and was clean. It is a "no frills" - I just need somewhere to sleep and shower - hotel. Room I had ("double" bed) was small, barely enough floor space to open out my suitcase, but adequate, I was only there to sleep and shower. Very good location, close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est and metro stations and in a neighbourhood with lots of great cafes and restaurants. Fortunately I like warm weather, so lack of airconditioning didn't bother me, but if you are travelling to Paris in summer and don't like the heat, don't stay at this hotel. A fan is provided in the room, but will only cool you down if you open the window and then you will get lots of street noise, because, it is Paris and the streets are busy/noisey. I also don't mind noise, so open window was fine for me. I paid to have breakfast included, but it wasn't worth it. Just orange juice, coffee, croissant and baguette, which is no good for someone who has gluten and fructose allergies. Much nicer breakfasts can be had at one of the many cafes just up or down the road.
