Never again!

The concerts got moved to November 2022, but even that I offered to pay EXTRA and so on, the hotel wouldent rebook to the new dates, even that september was sold out and november was free. So we had to go anyway, in order not to lose money on this. The staff was friendly, only good thing to say about this place. I cannot recormend anyone to go there. Nothing I read holds up. The room was cold, theres a draft from doors, the beds are like bricks and the floor is so cold. The beding is a blanket and a sheet, and since there was NO heat, we had to sleep with clothes on and socks. Even the towelwarmer in bathroom dident work, so all was cold and wet, after a bath. First night to hob dident work, and man in reception dident know how to turn it on, so we had to eat out. 45 Euro for 2 pizzas and water. The supermarket barely had anything (Aldi and LIDL), Lidl is a bit from the hotel. And the territory arround is dreadfull. We dident feel safe at all. Middeleast people everywhere, smoking weed and yelling stuff at us (proberly because my daugther held my hand) and beggers at the subway. All shops was kinda closed and grafitti and trash everywhere. I never feelt so scared anywhere. Many times the police held up people to tjek them (proberly for drugs). I wouldent ever go back there or recormend anyone going there.

Studio for Solo Traveler

Reviewed 15 september, 2022

Great location within easy walk to M3 Rue Saint-Maur station. Comfortable neighborhood. Unusual two-level building with secured entrance to central courtyard. My studio was the smallest I've ever stayed in, but it had all the essentials for a self-catered stay. Clean. Quiet. Helpful staff. Excellent value for Paris. Will ask for upper level unit next time for greater privacy.

Quiet and pleasant place

Quiet accommodation. A mini apartment with kitchenette, on two floors, simple and well finished, with a French touch. The neighborhood gives an immediate feeling of well-being: typical grocery stores, small restaurants, two metro stops (M2 and M3) nearby.

Long Weekend in Paris

Reviewed 10 october, 2019

The hotel is easy to reach from Gard de Nord train station being only 6 stops on Metro Line 2 and then a 5 minute walk. However its half way down a small road which is easy to miss in the dark so pay attention. The rooms are based either side of a central passageway and on either the ground or first floor, accessed by stairs, no lifts. I was on the first floor and this was not a problem for me but might be for others. I had a Standard Double Studio which has the bedroom partially separate from the small kitchenette and shower room / toilet. The room was quiet and, although small, normal for Paris. Everything was provided as expected including a nice coffee machine but only 1 coffee capsule and 2 tea bags, as I was there for 4 nights I bought more from the local supermarket. The room was quiet during my stay and neither too hot nor cold. The only negative point I would make is although this was a 'Double' the bed was pushed up against the wall meaning that a second person would have to get out of bed by climbing over the other person or via the end of the bed, fortunately I was on my own but maybe a question to ask booking. Overall the hotel and room met by expectations and I would stay there again,

Great stay, shame about the weather..

We very much enjoyed staying at the hotel. It's got a quirky layout with the kitchen/living area downstairs and the sleeping area/bathroom upstairs. I can recommend but not in the weekend we were there: the heatwave meant we didn't sleep at all. The area itself is eclectic. Don't let that be a reason not to visit. I never felt uneasy and we also managed to score excellent Maroccan food for a stupidly cheap price. Highlight: very well maintained and clean. Low point: heatwave without air conditioning (fans were available but were next to useless).
