Great location, wonderful staff, comfy bed, good value

I booked this through Tripadvisor Plus and got a great deal! I am giving 5 stars because it was such a good value and when I gently asked about an upgrade Toni immediately gave me a bigger bedroom in the back where it was quiet.
I've been to Paris dozens of times since the mid-'80s and stayed in super luxe and very basic hotels, as well as Airbnb,s and almost every time I overthink my accommodation choice in an effort to maximize location/comfort/value. The Petit Beaumarchais might be the last choice I need to make. The hotel's location is ideal for folks who like to walk everywhere but it is also mere steps from the Bastille Metro . Restaurant selection within a few blocks is excellent and close by is rue Oberkampf that has a ton of cute shops and boutiques.
It looks as if they've spent the whole pandemic making sure everything is pristine. All the fixtures and fittings are top notch and every bit of paint or wallpaper or linen contribute to the relaxing vibe.
The Trip Plus info was pretty meager so I wasn't sure whether my room rate included any access to the spa. It did! The spa is basic, just a salt water floatation pool, a sauna, & a shower but when you book it (one visit free with room booking, subsequent visits €70) you have the whole area to yourself. Pretty nice way to get over jet lag.
The bar was hopping one night and quiet and relaxed another. cocktails were excellent. I did not try the breakfast but it looked fresh and generous.
Excellent experience at a special boutique hotel

First, make sure to get the name of the hotel correct! LE PETIT Beaumarchais. My Uber almost dropped me off at the wrong hotel, currently under construction (Hotel Beaumarchais) not far away from this one.
On a recent trip (1st time) to Paris, my friend and I decided to split our one week between 2 boutique hotels. This one was the 2nd half of our trip. Good to note: it is located on a busy street, a main thoroughfare right by Place de la Bastille. So it can be a little hectic (with grabbing an Uber, or the urban vibe late at night), but there are definite benefits: right by the Metro, bustling nightlife just around the corner, great food options, convenient pharmacies, etc.
The facility is well-kept, and the service warm, with the entire staff we encountered. I believe Tony was the one who checked me in/out and he was great. He walked me through all the amenities, including a complimentary, private salt bath which I didn't get to take advantage of, but looked great when he personally took the time to walk me through the cozy premises.
Rooms were clean and well-kept. Upon arrival to our respective rooms, there was a personalized note and small bag of chocolates which I thought was a really considerate, sweet gesture. The entire hotel is quite quiet throughout the entire day. I had a larger room vs. my friend, who opted for a "view" over extra space...and wow, what a view he had (on the 6th floor). His room was smaller, with a tub, but the room itself was in an interesting shape, with a window that opened up to a glorious view of Paris, where you could even see the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
No real complaints though I have to note their elevator is 'old school' (doors shut before the lift activates, and only couriers one set of passengers at a time)...notable for those who are claustrophobic.
Breakfast buffet was delicious and well worth it, and the bar was a nice treat too. We stopped by a couple of nights and loved that it felt so intimate, as if we were guests in one of the bartenders' flats. Pedro and Leo was FANTASTIC (as well as the night manager Ramos). Loved getting to know them. Also, pro tip: Pedro (who is Brazilian) serves the best caipirinha! Both you could tell truly love their craft, so on both nights we loved enjoying what felt like a semi-private gathering, watching them craft beautiful specialty drinks...as the hotel stays quite quiet and intimate for you to really soak up the atmosphere.
Thank you to the entire staff of Le Petit Beaumarchais for a delightful experience. One I'm not soon to forget.

It was not my first time at Hotel Original, but the hotel is so beautiful and comfortable that I wanted to go back. Even living close to the hotel, we opt to stay there for one night, the room was different from the other time, but even more beautiful! Hotel is well located, staff is very nice and welcoming, accomodations are incredibly good and very tasteful croissants for the breakfast!

Nice, clean hotel in a good location, close to Place des Vosges and a lot of good restaurants. Staff were very helpful and we were lucky to find a little jazz bar nearby to while away the evening hours.
Ok but not convenient at all

The biggest perk of the hotel is that it’s located in a very upscale area of paris both close to le Marais and Bastille. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Nonetheless I was there just after the end of covid 19 and it is really not ready to greet tourists again... the receptionist operated the hotel on his own and locks the door after 11 pm. He then leaves the reception to go rest and every time you want to exit the hotel even in the morning before 7 you have to call him on his cell :-( very inconvenient, it felt like I was renting a room in a house and didn’t get the privacy of a hotel room at all... Finally there is no fridge or mini bar in the crammed room and only one small bottle of lukewarm water was provided. I was so thirsty in the middle of the night I didn’t know what to do... I had to call the guy, wake him up so he could give me a bottle of water which was nice except for the fact it was really really warm :-( On the plus side the bed is very comfy but I guess they need to hire or rehire staff before they are operational for tourists to stay again...
