Superb staff who are honest and kind

We had Covid related booking issues and had to cancel our trip. This hotel and its staff went above and beyond to help us with a rebooking offer, and eventual refund. Kind, honest people. We look forward to booking with them in the future with every confidence.
Great hotel in excellent location

We three ladies stayed here in early October for three nights, and it was the ideal base for us. We walked from Gare Montparnasse in less than 10 minutes (very easy) and the staff were very welcoming and helpful for the whole stay. Being a few steps from Vavin Metro made it really straightforward for getting around Paris too. The hotel room itself was clean and comfortable, although not super-spacious, as per most Paris hotels (I was on my own so it was certainly big enough for me). I could see the Eiffel Tower from my window (unexpected bonus!), and there was no traffic noise from the street below when the window was closed. My friends shared a superior twin room and that was more spacious, and ideal for them. We would definitely return as it was good value for money too.
Helpful staff and great convenient location

The reception staff were very helpful when I had my phone stolen and made calls to find out which police station I needed to go to and were willing to help translate by phone at the station if needed as well as seeing if they could help me make the claim online. This was very much appreciated and above and beyond what I expected. Rooms were cosy and bed was comfy with a kettle/wine glasses etc in the room. We looked over Boulevard Montparnasse and despite it being the weekend it was still quiet and we had a great night's sleep and plenty of light in the room during the day from the big windows. The big draw is the location-only a minute or so to the Metro and near all the great creperies on Rue Odessa. Would happily stay here again.
Great location, rooms, breakfast

Quintessential Paris streets, busy enough to be exciting but quiet enough to sleep at night. Everything you need within walking distance, including a variety of restaurants, boulangeries, patisseries, wine shops, grocery stores… The front-desk service is excellent. We all enjoyed meeting the owner’s handsome dog, who has his own cushion on a chair in the lobby. The breakfast buffet has great coffee, steamed milk, espresso, meats, cheeses, pastries, and breads, along with eggs cooked any way. (We stayed at 4 different hotels on our trip, and this was our favorite breakfast!) The art deco charm is compelling. I highly recommend this hotel!
Nice hotel but needs some TLC

This was the third time we stayed at Hotel Raspail. The last time was back in 2005 right after a major renovation. The rooms then were really nice and up to date but have not been updated in the last 14 years as far as we could tell. The rooms could now use some TLC. The bar and lobby have been updated and look really nice. However there were weeds growing thru the cracks in the walk just outside the front door. The carpet was also worn and in need of replacement plus some of the grout in the shower tile was falling out. Not sure if we will stay here again unless there is another renovation.
The hotel is very close to two Metro stops and down the street from the Port Royal RER station which is convenient to get to Gare du Nord and CDG.
