Great time in Paris
Spent spring break in Paris before everything closed down. We were at the hotel for 6 nights. The location is PERFECT! Close to everything. Went jogging every morning along the Seine. Had breakfast a few times and it was very good. Room was nice, cleaned every day. Good size for Paris.
Alot like a Cruise Ship
This property is in a fantastic location a short walk from the Louvre, the Seine, the Orsay, and many other great tourist sites. In that regard, it's a great property. However, this is a large, older property with not necessarily the most elegant clientele and really reminded me of a cruise ship. Constantly crowded in the lobby, the overwhelming scent of air freshener permeating all of the common areas, oftentimes challenging to get a table at breakfast....it was just like....Royal Caribbean!! Adding to the challenge was the mediocre at best service, the decent (but by no means wonderful) rooms and the noise outside the front of the hotel, and you'll easily find better properties to stay in Paris. If you're a Bonvoy person, you should go to the JW Marriott instead of this property. If you're not bound to a frequent flyer program (and don't want to spend the $ to stay at The Bristol, The Ritz, The George V, etc.), and you want to be in this neighborhood, try Buddha Bar.
Poor Service, Tiny Rooms
The wife and I wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day in Paris. We booked this hotel through Costco Travel and paid extra to stay at this location rather than the recommended hotel due to its location and because it is part of the Marriott brand. We regret doing so however because our room (5017) was tiny. On top of that, when we were checking in, the front desk clerk tried to upsell us on a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower for 55 more Euros. Not a fan of this since the other hotels we stayed at in Europe did not try to upsell us. Meh. Also, our room was tiny and the restroom felt even smaller. I'm 5'8" and when I got into the shower, my head was close to the ceiling. Another thing I was annoyed about was that when our airport transport dropped us off, the workers did not bother trying to help us until we asked where the lobby was. This kind of pretentious attitude is why we can't recommend this hotel. With so many options in Paris, I can't recommend this hotel.
Great location and very friendly staff
My friends and I stayed here for fashion week in September 2019. The location is really great and the staff in the hotel are very helpful and friendly. The only thing I don't understand is why they have a hair blow dryer in the room and no outlet for it. The only outlet they have in a room is in the hallway, which is a weird place to use it since there is no mirror next to it lol. Otherwise everything was amazing and I will definitely be back!!!!
Can’t be topped! This is luxury and splendor as only Paris can offer. Room with a balcony overlooking the Tuileries garden and the Eiffel Tower. Doesn’t get any better!!! Service was impeccable and I cannot wait to return
