This hotel is more of a hostel. We were shown to our room which had an appalling smell of cigarettes. The room next door was occupied by a young man who was sitting on a chair outside his door smoking and drinking lager. It felt very uncomfortable. We were shown an alternative room which also smelt of stale cigarettes. Money was taken from card before arrival and after many attempts can’t engage with the hotel. The whole place was very tired and felt grubby. AVOID!!

No frillsoption

Travelling by cycle through northern France we got everything we needed at a good price. Our introduction was worrying when we were told that we hadn't paid but we were shown to our room without fuss and it was soon resolved. Our cycles went into our room with us so we had no concerns about there security. Hotel was out of town and restaurant was closed on the day we arrived (Sunday) which was inconvenient. Showers were hot, bed was comfy, we had a good nights sleep and the breakfast was excellent. The weather was very hot but air con coped with it as well as we could expect. Would recommend it.

No wifi!

Reviewed 19 june, 2019

Standard Kyriad place with flimsy walls between the rooms. If you are lucky you have quiet guests in the neighboring rooms. Wifi didn't connect. The restaurant has limited opening hours: it is closed three days a week. The A1 motorway is at approx 5 km.

Overpriced and rather dismal

Reviewed 4 december, 2018

We stayed in October 2018 and for the price it was all rather dismal. Very basic accommodation, thin towels, no toiletries. There was a kettle in the room and although they provided tea bags and a biscuit on the first night, the "hospitality tray" was not replenished during our three night stay. No cups, just plastic mugs. Breakfast was a buffet and was OK but our 3 night stay was at the weekend and the restaurant was closed for evening meals which meant a drive into town. Accommodation was in motel style cabins which all added to the dismal atmosphere

Horrible place

Reviewed 15 august, 2018

What an aweful hotel. This place use to be a Camponile, having been upgraded at some point to Kyriad, charging around €15-20 for for the pleasure of bodged up rooms with an added tv and AC that barely works. Bathroom has fake tile wallpaper everywhere, and very slippery bath to shower in and no plugs, so i had to use the plastic bag the plastic cups were wrapped in to have a shave, which the cleaners binned each day without replacing. My basin leaked over the floor and the whole room smelt musty, a large air freshener tucked in a corner kind of suggests they knew it smelt. No food at the weekend leaving us a long walk up into town each night, or ride and don’t drink!! Kettle in the room, but minimal supplys, no tea at all and tiny paper cups. I ended up buying a cheap mug and ‘allinone’ coffee sachets from a supermarket. Over 4 nights we used the Egyption restaurent 2/3 way into town, reasonable food, but only small beers. Next and 4th night we used the Large restaurant the nearest end of main square, great food, service and ‘grande’ beers. 3rd night resteraunt at far end of square, good food, iffy beer. Only good point, the bed was comfy, but personally I’d aim for Albert if i go again.
