Ridiculous drink price!

Reviewed 24 october, 2022

If you fancy a glass of red wine, ask the price first. I did'nt and was charged £11.95 for a large glass of Merlot! I was too gob smacked to say no, but questioned the price and was told that was correct. And it was'nt as though the wine was anything special! Other pubs in the area charge £7+.

Perfect Sunday Lunch

Reviewed 21 june, 2022

We visited on Fathers Day and whilst a little disappointed with our table just inside the door which was very cramped, the meal more than made up for it. The roast chicken Sunday lunch was the best I have ever had! Compliments to the chef.

It’s not what it once was

Reviewed 12 june, 2022

We’ve visited TTL a few times over the years and it seems to be slipping in standards. Service was ok although one of our mains had been forgotten so we had to ask and wait for that to arrive. The food isn’t cheap and it was very average today. Roasts look impressive but my husband reported that the roasties tasted as if they’d been reheated from yesterday. The fish pie was nice but very bland. The cheesecake was almost inedible for me although eaten by my husband in the end!. It was like eating a slab of sweet grainy butter. Not pleasant. I was surprised that the garden wasn’t heaving on a sunny Sunday too. What a shame. Unlikely we will make the trip again, sadly.

Meon Trail Cycling stop over at Thomas Lord

Reviewed 21 may, 2022

Great little pub with rooms at the top of the meon cycling trail. Cycled here and spent the evening in the pub so just a single night stop over. Atmosphere really good and Food and wine really nice. The rooms are super comfortable and Staff really friendly and helpful.

Good Dog Friendly Pub

Reviewed 20 may, 2022

First time here in a very long time and we will be back a lot sooner. Very good food and beer, good staff and many items on the menu still to try. I have walked to this pub in the day time but never had time to stop. Definitely returning. PS The chicken dish is great as it tastes more like duck!! (Staff will get that one!!)
