I stayed at The Cove Phi Phi for 5 days (yes!) and I had the most magical experience ever. This hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by just the ocean for as far as you can see :)
Imagine this: Taking a dip, soaking under the sun, having beers, and a book. And all this on repeat for 5 days. That’s what it was like.
There’s no road, just water everywhere. So you literally can’t step out.

Wow! What an amazing experience. The Cove’s motto is “ come as guests, leave as friends and return as family” and it fits perfectly. We stay is a beautiful beachfront hut on the most picturesque beach I’ve seen in Thailand so far (and I’ve seen a lot!). The hospitality of all staff and the owner was warm, friendly and welcoming. The water taxi’s only come twice a day which adds to the tranquility of Rantee bay. The restaurants is superb! Huge menu catering for seafood lovers, vegans, vegetarians, Thai food and western food. We stuck to the Thai food and it did not disappoint! The best Thai food I’ve had to date!! Free snorkeling and kayaking is offered to all guests and a great walk (about 40mins up and down) to the view point. Stunning views of neighboring islands and tonsai bay. And after a busy day snorkeling, kayaking and hiking you can relax and unwind with a full body massage overlooking the ocean. The cove has it all! As I write this review, admiring the stunning scenery, I’m seriously contemplating missing my water taxi haha. The cove is a gem!
Amazing vacation !!!

After booking this trip I then read the reviews and at first I got scared because of all the complaints, but then I calmed down and read between the lines of those comments. One guy put the beach is small and there are too many rocks and complained when it was high tide😂😂😂😂 R u kidding me. First off it’s called the cove so yeah the beach is not like Miami Beach but it’s certainly big enough at no point did I ever say I wish I had more beach. Second it’s not rocks its coral reef which makes it for an amazing experience for snorkeling and seeing all the fish. U have to swim about 20-30 meters before u even get to the “rocks” anyways lol. And last if u have a problem with the tides take that up with moon. People also complained about bugs in the room. Yes there were a few bugs in the room nothing crazy, but I understood ur on a remote island in the jungle on the side of a mountain. If u want zero bugs in ur room then just forget about the amazing view and stay in town or at Bangkok. People also complained about it being a 20 min boat ride from the main part of town where all the restaurants and bars are. This is deff a Preference thing for sure. I prefer the separation of having the hotel where I stay be paradise. Super quite, the beaches super clean, and the water crystal clear. And then go in town to party and eat at different restaurants. The beaches in town because of all the boat traffic are no where as nice as the hotel. And it is loud with lots of people which I don’t mind when I am ready to party. We had so much fun. Slinky beach party is a 100% must go. If ur going to go on boat tours deff book them in town they are way cheaper. All and all I could not have asked for a better experience and vacation. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful especially Gartoon at the front desk and Pele the hotel manager.
PS. If u don’t get a massage by Annd ur doing it wrong.

We stayed at the Cove on Kho Phi Phi for a few nights, in between Phuket and Krabi.
It couldn’t have been any further from Phuket, in terms of how quiet it was; at one point, we thought we were the only ones there, although it did begin to fill up when we left.
The views from the room were stunning and the almost deserted beach was gorgeous.
The food in the restaurant was lovely - really tasty; and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly.
However, the accommodation didn’t match the rest of the experience; it was very primitive and the steps to the place were extremely steep. Also, there was a dirt path to the main road which was again quite steep. The whole place could have done with a good lick of paint and a spruce up.
