More about the hotel
Not up to HIlton standards
I have been staying here the last month or two for work. As a Hilton Diamond member I am very disappointed in the rooms here. My first room had missing pans, dishes etc., leaking faucet in kitchen and some dirty dishes in the cabinet. I had to call several times to get items delivered. The room this week same issues again and with one front desk person in the evening upon arrival was not able to get missing items as she said she was locked out of the room holding those items. Just found another dirty dish in the cabinet. Unfortunately there are not a lot of suite choices close to the area where I am working. I was previously staying in the Happy Valley area and the hotel is very nice. And there we were able to use the dining area for working. This hotel has their whole dining area closed. Also the bar right across the street gets super noisy at night.
Stay away
My husband stayed here for 20 days and I joined the last 4. We travel extensively and always stay at a Hilton property. This was the worst experience of any!! The hotel staff (including housekeepers) did not wear masks, were very rude, and made us feel like we were “bothering” them if we asked for something. Common areas were very dirty, especially the pool area!! Room had a great layout but carpet and appliances were filthy! Also, there was a sign on the back door to not leave it open but the staff members are the one’s leaving it open with the door mat! There are plenty of other hotel options that we will use the next time!
POOR FRONT DESK SERVICE
I’m an RN here to help out hospital during CO VID SURGE. I stayed here years ago on a travel assignment and it was fine. Today i checked in an the front desk guy says “What can i help you with, do u want to check in?” He also told me he was about to get off work, and his entire attitude was crappy. Poor eye contact. Not personable like a front desk person should be. Went to room, and the closet door was broken, marks on walls walls where chair had been hitting it, and other areas. Lighting in bathroom poor and dingy. Room just seemed a little worn out. Then i went to check out pool and it looked greenish. Went to ask about it at front desk and there was a female working. I asked her about pool and she gave me some attitude ‘THE PUMP IS BROKEN, WE ARE WORKING ON IT.” I Asked her how long it had been broken and she said “It’s recent.” ‘WE ARE WORKING ON IT.” Seems kind of odd to me that in a city where there are tons of pool companies they can’t seem to get it fixed doesn’t it... especially when its 110 + out. Checked out fitness room, and it was HOT. I might check out of this place. Not sure yet. I hope the Manager reads this.
Responsible during Essential Travel
We had to make an essential travel trip out of state and felt really good about our stay here. There were plenty of cars in the parking lot, yet we never saw another guest during our stay. I assume the hotel spaced their guests apart on different floors or in different areas of the hotel. The hotel is being responsible yet still offering services as able - no buffet breakfast, but wrapped, grab and go options were available. The seating area was closed and tables and chairs were put away, and the pool was closed. Thank you for being safe! Having these things actually put away or closed, vs. just having a closed sign and leaving people to decide to comply or ignore them (as we recently saw in another hotel) is much more responsible. Home wood Suites was perfect since we could order curbside and eat in the room at the table! Having not typically chosen a suite hotel, this was our main reason for staying here during Covid so that we had a table area for meals since we would not be able to eat out. Also this hotel is in a great location, moments away from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. Thank you for being safe and for the hospitality.
Stolen prescription medication and dirty rooms!
I stayed at this location for four nights. Firstly the rooms are dirty, what all the other reviewers are saying are true. The bath towels had dark dirty spots and we're dingy.O bed linens had dirty spots and even blood stains. The bathroom smelled of animal urine and we couldn't even shut the bathroom door. My biggest problem however is on my last day staying at the hotel my medication was stolen from the vanity. It was there in the morning before we left the hotel and when we arrived back in the evening it was gone. My prescription was a narcotic pain medication. I immediately went downstairs and the front desk clerk called the manager. She assured me that the manager was looking into the matter and was going to contact me. The next morning when I was checking out she told me that the manager would be calling me later that day, however I never received a phone call that Monday. I ended up messaging Homewood Suites through Facebook and they contacted the hotel numerous times asking them to contact me immediately. Jennifer, one of the managers had called me on Tuesday. The first thing she told me was her employees do not steal and what did I want. Well Jennifer I want my medication, without it I'm going to suffer. She told me that they were going to clean the room and search it and was going to call me back on Wednesday at 3 p.m. . It is now 4 days later and she has still not returned my call. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
