Room #6 is next to a disco that goes until 4am. We moved to room #10 at the other end of the hotel, only to discover that it's next to a restaurant that blares music until 3am. Ear plugs were insufficient to block the noise. There is no glass on the windows to block the noise. Lack of glass also reduces the effectiveness of the air conditioning units. Also, one of the beds in room #10 has completely collapsed. The location is good but it does not compensate for the noise.
Very little sleep
Apart from the inability to sleep because of the noise from neighbouring establishments the hotel was ok. Great location, 1star accommodation! Tired garden with good mosquito breeding area but adequate room. Aircon, fan, wet room, bed and linen fine. Everything spoilt by loud noise until 3am. I understand the hotel can do nothing about noise from other establishments but a prerequisite of any hotel is the ability of its guests to have a reasonable nights sleep.
Ear Plugs are not sufficient
We stayed here for just one night (we were meant to stay for three) and whilst the location is excellent and the beds comfortable you will not get any sleep. The windows are simply mesh with wooden shutters, which means zero sound proofing and this hotel is slotted between a few very loud bars - I appreciate this is beyond their control, but glass windows may have helped dull the noise! The toilet wouldn't flush and despite reporting it, our friend stayed in the same room 2 weeks later and it was still broken. There was minimal water pressure and the 'hot' water got to luke warm at best. Ultimately if you are going to Playa to party and won't return until after 3am, this hotel may be for you. If you plan on sleeping at any point I wouldn't recommend.
Arrived at 9 pm to find no rooms available dispite a long standing booking & a recent mail from the hotel to say I was expected.I was then walked to a sister hotel 5 minutes plus away My room was so noisy from the nightclub music thumping until after 2 am I had little sleep then at 8am I was woken by a loud knocking noise coming from the electric box as there was a power cut so the knocking repeated on & off for over an hour The receptionist in the morning spoke no English & could not communicate with the original hotel so I walked there alone to final arrange bag transfer as promised the night before.
What a nice staff
Thanks to the helpful staff alike Matis and the other person ( sorry I forrgotbhis name) who both manned the reception. They have been very helpful and are delighted to offer help Matis was ready to take extra mile , helping changing the room ( it was noisy from music of restaurants next door), booking excursions and being very informative about the local area. He hotel is very close to centre and the beach. Thanks to Matis and his collègues. Dr Mohamned Al-Rawi
