The hotel is fine for a night. Check in was easy. There’s no elevators so start thinking up/down on stairs with heavy bags. We had our dog so stayed in the pet section of the hotel. Hall way rug is dirty! In our room the remote was breaking. Had to MacGyver it to work lol. The tub in the shower did not drain so everyone had to stand in dirty water. I’m still being reminded of that.
The Continental breakfast was fine. Had enough to meet everyone’s needs. However, coffee is way too weak though. There’s a Starbucks 1 mike away.
Pool area was fine. A lot of kiddos seemed to be having fun.
The ice machines did not work. Well, I found 1 out of 4 working. That was a bit annoying looking for ice. Finally found one but it was upstairs at the second level so I had to go up/down stairs with a heavy igloo of ice. That was after luging bags from our room and back into car.
If you’re staying 1 night and have a pet it’s fine but I wouldn’t want to deal with these types of things 2 nights or more.
The staff were nice and helpful. I didn’t say anything about the issues because they already knew. In other words, the room attendant that cleaned our room before are arrival obviously knew about the tub and remote. She could of told upper management and probably did.
1 of the 4 ice machines not working had a broken sign on it.
Not picking on management but these things should be fixed asap.
Sub par Best Western: dirty, no ice

There were a number of disappointments during the one-night stay of my grown daughter and me on a road trip in July, 2021. It began with an exceedingly long wait to check in. The sole receptionist was on the phone having an extended conversation with a prospective guest about room types, ways to pay, etc and she ignored the people who gradually arrived to check in. Three of us waited about 15 minutes while she stayed on the phone. After eventually checking in we found out that our pet-friendly room was in an annex to the main motel that we were told to drive to (it was about 100 yards away). When we got there we were struck by how dirty the entry and hallway were, and then we found that the door to our room was open, as was the refrigerator, which proved to be filthy with spilled food. When we we called Guest Services we were told that “housekeeping sometimes leaves the rooms open” and that a “bellman” would come clean the fridge. Half an hour later no one had showed and we wanted to leave for dinner so we called again and told them that we would be leaving and our very sedate and friendly dog would be in the room. They said that was ok and the bellman was “on his way” but had lots of other chores to do on the way. When we got back several hours later, nothing had changed—fridge was still disgusting. We figured we would just get ice for our perishables but then we found that two of the three ice machines in the motel were out of order. We had to hike back to the main building and up two flights of stairs to find the third machine that was working. In the morning we tried the breakfast room and were again disappointed—I don’t expect much from motel free breakfasts but this was below average and the coffee was poor enough that we brewed our own in the parking lot. With taxes, we paid almost $200 for our double Queen room, which felt like about $150 too much.

Guests camping outside room, drinking and talking loudly. They refused to be quiet even after 10 pm. Took staff over 45 minutes to respond after 1st report.
Doors kept slamming all night long
Room smelled of mildew.
Not a place I would recommend

Overall we had a nice stay at the BW Pocatello. The front desk staff was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our room was spacious, but was definitely showing wear and tear. The upholstery was stained, the lampshades torn or falling apart, etc. The common areas near the ice machine and stairs were filthy. Someone had spilled soda and chips and left a sticky mess on the floor that was not cleaned during our stay. The facility needs a deep cleaning and update. Our room, however, was clean aside from the stained upholstery and curtains. I would recommend this hotel to fellow travelers with the caveat that it isn't particularly "nice," but fairly priced and reasonably clean.

Fast check in and a friendly welcome. Clean and spacious room. Couldn’t have done any better for the price! Would definitely stay again! Lounge was open with comfy chairs and cold beer! Breakfast was good to! Staff were very friendly.
