Everything was perfect!
Opinión escrita el 17 de Julio de 2021
I don’t about you, but there are several things that make or break a hotel for me; was it hot, was it noisy, was the bed uncomfortable, did the towels smell…etc. etc, I am a picky princess when it comes to hotels.
The White Sands was PERFECT for me. The beds were great, firm, not too hard and did not sink in the middle. The sheets were soft and luxurious and had no smell. The air conditioning worked all through the night ( unlike Marriot that monkeys with the thermostat if there is no movement) and was quiet. The towels were high quality and we were given so many I didn’t have to ask for more. The place is super clean, the rooms are clean, the halls are clean, the drawers are clean, everything is clean.
The employees are friendly here and willing to help. We always found a parking place easily, which is a benefit.
I highly recommend The White Sands for a very peaceful, pleasant and comfortable stay.

We stayed in Building 300 for a long weekend. The location is great (right on the beach) and the pools and pool area seemed well maintained.
The room was very outdated and needs some sprucing up. A few of the lightbulbs were burned out, the safe wasn't working, there was one drawer that constantly slid open (we had to jam a towel in it), and the bathroom was tiny. The ac worked, but not as well as it should. The closet had no hangers!
Rooms were not made over (due to covid protcol i guess) and towels and garbage were replaced daily.
For the price we paid, definitely not worth it.
summer family vacation

We've been going to the White Sands for years. It has gone totally downhill since the first time we vacationed there. We had 3 rooms, all were dirty, moldy and not sanitary, rooms not cleaned everyday (blamed on Covid). All the amenities listed online were not opened everyday. We left early and absorbed the monetary loss because we were so grossed out after the roof was leaking and pails were put under the leaks. All I could think of was the mold that was festering. Lido's restaurants food was not good and potatoes greasy and old tasting, no toast only stale rolls. I could go on but don't want to be too unkind.
Sorry for the negative feedback

I was hopeful that finally returning to normal activities after covid would be positive, however this experience was terrible. I had stayed two years prior and selected the specific room for its location. That was a plus but that was the only positive. Will not return.
Spacious Rooms, Poor Service

The room we stayed in was very spacious. It was a 2 room suite (2 queen beds in one room and a queen bed in a separate bedroom.) The pools were well maintained. We were there for 5 nights, and there was no cleaning service "due to COVID." I understood this, but I asked about towels and the trash as there were only 2 small trash bins (1 in the bathroom and 1 in the bedroom.) The woman at the front desk said we could come to the front desk to get new towels, but there was no trash service as they aren't allowed to come in to our rooms due to COVID. That's fine, but there should at least be an option to leave trash/towels outside of your room to exchange towels and get new trash bags. Our room was in a separate building (across the street) from the front desk, so it was inconvenient.
Another thing that was weird is that they allow you to have beach/pool towels. They give you a paper card for each guest and if you happen to lose a card it is $25 per card as they charge you the cost of the towel. I get that towels may be stolen, but I would recommend bringing your own towels if you have a large family... I didn't like the thought of carrying around "$150 worth" of towels for us and our 4 children.
Check-in was also a hassle. My mom booked everyone's hotel room through booking.com and listed each of us as the room occupant. That information apparently didn't carry over from booking.com so we had to wait 2 hours until my mom got into town to check into the room. Just something to keep in mind if you're traveling as a group.
