Fantastic holiday.

Puerto Pollensa does not disappoint. We loved these apartments. Top floor with a sunbathing terrace. Comfortable settee indoors & decent beds. Aircon & WiFi were reliable. Major plus; beach directly opposite. Handy Spar at entrance. Fantastic value apartments. Minor gripe as other have mentioned - furniture scraping noise can be heard - seems a big echoey building. Not enough to deter us from definitely returning!

Nice self-catering apartment option in Puerto Pollenca

We had a nice week in a swim up apartment at the Hobby Club. The apartments are furnished with everything you would expect - kitchen had enough for us to make some pasta, meatballs etc in the evenings and eat it on the large terrace that approached the swim up pool. The addition of a Nespresso machine is quite nice, but they only give you 2 pods, so you can buy more in a bigger supermarket. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was fine (though could use some TLC at the end of the season), and everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The location is great - literally across the road to the beach. The pool was pretty cold in October, so it was great to set up base on the Bali sun beds and hop across the road to nip in the sea, before returning to sit in the sun again. There are also some restaurants very close to the hotel which are worth a look too. The supermarket next door is far more expensive than other options but good to pick up a few basics. The swim up apartments have a nice big terrace, much bigger than the standard rooms which is great and there are two loungers to use which are private. The swim up pool attached to the apartment was nice too, but needed to be used at the right time to get the sun. One problem for the swim up apartments was that they face East so only get sun for a bit of the day. But there was always space around the pool on a lounger if you want the full sun experience. Staff were great, accommodating and very nice at all times we interacted. There is some noise between rooms that often starts quite early (furniture scrapes etc.) when people are leaving to go to the airport but you can't really hear voices or anything. We had a hire car for the whole week - we didn't use it much and parking outside the hotel was no problem at all. Overall, we enjoyed our time here. Hobby Club is a nice example of a self catering apartment which we would come back to and recommend to others.

The hotel is in a great location in a quiet area but 15-20min walk to restaurants, shops and marina. The apartment was good, little kitchen great to allow us to have breakfast at the apartment, kids slept on sofa bed (would watch out as might be tight for teenagers, but absolutely find for kids), air conditioning just in the living room, but bedroom stayed cool with the door open. Pool area is great, never had issues to find a sunbed. Employees all very nice and helpful. The only thing that could be improved is the cleaning during the stay (apartment was clean and in great condition when we arrived), it is done every other day and it would be good to have it daily and more thorough to get all the sand that accumulates on the floor. The beach is just across the street and is lovely, cristal waters and great for snorkeling. There is a grocery shop next door that is very handy. Overall we had a great stay and would love to come back in the future!

Fantastic stay at Hobby club

We stayed here for 2 weeks. The apartments where really well equipped the staff we came across whilst here where all really helpful. The first few days people where saving beds which was annoying but the receptionist soon dealt with that and moved peoples towels. The location is really good I'd say a 15 min walk into the centre but a lovely pleasant walk. We went to a beach bar called la roca which was great had live music on Saturday afternoons. Gorgeous beach across the road. We enjoyed it that much we booked again for next year at the same place.

Average at Best - looked forward to coming home

We’ll start with the positive for this place. Location by the beach is great, enough sun beds and none of the nonsense reserving beds in the morning, plus free Wi-Fi. That’s where it stops. The accommodation is basic and dated. Patched laminate floors, broken sofa bed that barely serves as a bed for two young boys, so forget about an adult sleeping there. We booked a room with a whirlpool bath and roof terrace. Don’t be fooled by this as it is nothing more that a fad. The terrace is too small and accessed by an external stair which is a little precarious for children. Also be careful that you do not get a side sea view. They do not differentiate this at the time of booking and despite sending a photo of our room with a full sea view, we were allocated a side view with no other rooms being available. The very worst of this hotel is the noise. The roof terraces are accessed via steel stairs, as is one of the accommodation blocks. The noise reverberates through the structure and sounds like what I’d imagine a prison to be like. Also there is seemingly no insulation below the laminate floors, again noise, noise, noise! To add to this we had a significant storm and due to the poorly fitted front door (you can see daylight around the entire perimeter) rainwater was flowing into the room, only for the us to use our towels in the middle of the night as a barrier. All in all a disappointing stay and not an experience we’d like to encounter again.
