Nice hotel in great location
Nice self contained room located on the corner of the main street across the road from the sugar wharf. Although older the hotel still provides everything needed to be comfortable. Walking distance from all the main pubs and eateries in the main street. The pool is nice enough quite relaxing with the waterfall feature. Quite small area though if it is busy you may struggle to get a spot.
Old and tired
Staff really friendly, room really old and tired, weird cause on the pics it looks like the rooms have been renovated but we got put in a really daggy, tired old room. Pool area needs revamping, would have been lovely in its hey day but desperately needs a spruce
We had a short 3 day stay
The venue is in a very good location, with resturants, bars etc all close by. No need for a car, you can walk everywhere. the Staff are very courteous & helpful & yes "we'll be back ".. We only live about an hour away, so it's a great spot for us to recharge our batteries...
Perfect
Stayed four weeks and was sad to leave. Extra large studio with everything needed for a long stay. Especially liked the kitchen on the patio where I could watch the bustle out on Macrossan Street and the park (where markets are held each Sunday) while cooking and having morning coffee. Perfect holiday feel to wake up to each day. Friendly and helpful staff. No complaints whatsoever. Will be back if I get the chance. Note that music from the bars can intrude for rooms overlooking Macrossan street. Depends on what you’re looking for in a getaway. Alternative quiet rooms overlook the beautiful internal pond.
Second honeymoon and birthday getaway
What can I say but WOW, from the time we arrived on Friday 2nd October it has been so relaxing,room is exactly as advertised as we in sun spa apartment,veiw overlooking Anzac park to beach, so spacious and comfortable. I have special needs and they catered to them, supplying shower chair,walk in shower,and bed that was so good I could take it home. Can not thank Daniel and Dana enough as well as lovely smiling staff. We booked taxi to go to marina for cruise on Lady Douglas and when taxi failed to show for booking Daniel drove us down no questions. One that we noted was sitting on balcony eating there was no flies or mosquito I would love to know how they manage that.I have stayed at lots of places over the years, but this is my favourite, only wish could stay longer. Again all thank you, we will be back one day.
