Friendly Staff
The people who work here were so nice! They always greeting us and made us feel welcomed. The room was clean and all you need while staying in Europe! I will say the hotel isn't very close to the action; however, cabs/Ubers are so cheap that it didn't really matter!
Basic
Well, it's sufficient if you are just sleeping over and do sightseeing in Porto. Clean, fresh and friendly service. The rooms are nice and beds comfortable. There is a big parking area by the hotel. You get your morning coffee and a night cap in the bar. Wifi was not so good but it came through sometimes.
If you can swing it, splurge for the Tryp otherwise at least eat at the Tryp
When I compared where to stay the night before I flew Out of Lisbon, I chose Star inn because it was less than Tryp across the street (same owner) but I didn’t think the difference was that much? The caliber of hotel is much different. star inn feels very budget and Tryp does not. Tryp has a lovely restaurant, pool and just seems like if you are going to do anything but sleep it may be worth the splurge. The reason is because there aren’t a lot of options around to go exploring for different restaurants. You can walk from both hotels to the Lisbon airport in about 5 minutes but the reason a shuttle is offered is because it’s an uphill walk so not preferable for a lot of people. The room at star was hard to cool down bc I think they turn off the air once someone checks out then it had to cool down again once you check in and that takes time. So overall it wasn’t the worst stay but it was a Budget stay.
Good value hotel
This is a good value hotel on the outskirts of Porto. The staff were good and the breakfast was varied. Wifi didn't quite reach our room at the end of a corridor, nor was the interior particularly great. But it is a budget hotel so you get what you pay for.
football visit
the staff were helpful and friendly with a nice bar the room was large and clean no frills and very quite the breakfast was buffet with plenty of choise, the hotel is not near the citycentre and half hour walk to nearest metro station the best thing about this hotel are the staff the worst thing is the location it dident bother me walking to the metro but would not suite everybody
