Post lockdown visit
Stayed on the (re)opening night and the place had been set up great. Reception staffed greeted from behind screens, and I could see they took cleanliness seriously, sanitising pens and card machine after every use. There was also handgel throughout the hotel. Room was as described and not noisy at all. They've also opened additional staircases (previous fire exits) to help maintain one-way travel through the hotel. Will definitely stay again when I come to visit my family, thank you to the staff who made our visit so great.
Hotel good, staff bad
Stayed here for one night with National Holidays. Will start with the positives...the hotel was clean, rooms were tidy with a comfortable bed and the bathroom was large, water and room temperature were easily adjustable and there was a heated towel rail, and the TV was easy to work. The food for breakfast was fine, nothing to shout about but perfectly edible, and choice wise it was as you would expect - cereals, fried food, fruit and meats and porridge so something for everyone. Now for the negatives...the food at dinner was okay, I've had worse but the tomato and basil soup was very spicy/tangy and the chicken, whilst edible, was a bit dry and tough to eat. The carrots were also quite hard and hadn't been cooked for long enough. Not much choice except fish, chicken and a vegetarian option which was made to order with boiled potatoes and carrots. Dessert was quite tasty though! Our biggest gripe was easily the poor service...we had no mugs on our table so had to find our own, as the waiting staff hardly came to our table, and this involved moving some things to get to them. Some other people had the same issue. We were not given any butter for our bread and our cutlery was taken away and not replaced, which meant people rooting around on empty tables for spare cutlery for the next course. The worst part was at breakfast...the orange juice tasted so sour and fizzy, in fact we think it had probably gone off and a lot of people left it or took it back, including us. When we took it back, another gentleman was complaining as well and a very rude woman asked if we had been drinking the night before (we hadn't) but didnt apologise or offer to replace it. So we ended up with unchilled water from a jug as there was no other option. This same woman had just a few minutes earlier tried to push my mum out of the way of the door she was standing in front of (she hadn't realise anyone was trying to get in) and then said "dont worry, I dont mind injuring everyone "...a simple "excuse me" would have sufficed...don't know her name but I feel hospitality is definitely not for her!! Would have been 4 stars if not for the poor service and one particular rude member of staff!
Got us out of a sticky situation thank you
After serious train issues that resulted in us being stranded in Preston at 1am we needed somewhere to stay immediately and Legacy Preston International sorted us right out. It was a good location, a great price, the bed was comfy, the room was a good size and has everything we needed and the night porter who checked us in was really helpful and friendly!
Really nice hotel ,rooms really nice, Bed very comfy and roomy, bathroom sparkly clean.lovely white towels ,hairdryer etc in room. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Staff bright and cheerful, Nice friendly atmosphere in the bar area.Drinks a little expensive but you expect that in a city centre hotel.
Very good hotel
Stayed for a Saturday night. The hotel is on a one way street but the sat nav took us to the wrong end, Once we found the correct route we were very pleasantly surprised. Parking was easy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. we were on the 4th floor. Waits for the lift were very short. The room was fine and it had the best lighting I have come across in a hotel room. The tea/coffee was good and there was a safe available. The bed was very comfortable and the room was pleasantly warm. we had some drinks and dinner in the hotel. Both were very good. The breakfast was good with a reasonable amount of choice. The hotel is modern and well designed. It is extremely well placed for shops and restaurants. We will definitely use this hotel again next time we visit Preston
