Amazing place to stay!
We did a short weekend stay at Domaine de la Corniche and had a great time! The view is fantastic and they make the most of it with a sunroom in the bar and huge windows in the restaurant. The staff are very professional and willing to help at every step. In particular, Gildas, the bartender at Bar Leopold, was exceptional making us custom cocktails so don't forget to pay him a visit! It's small details like Gildas' service and cocktails that transform the entire experience and why I give it 5 stars.
Great position. We were given a room(53) in the house across the road which was better than I expected. The main restaurant was fully booked so we had to go to their bistro across the road which served very good food. The breakfast was good and included in the price. I would return.
Arrived around 7 without pre booking. First impression was ok, also ok price per night. We booked a table at their bistro. Now the nightmare started, had to send my beef back 4 times. Wrong food for my family as well. Our server was the only good experience. We asked for 2 blankets. One came without sheets. Also they asked us to carry it to the room. Also tried to make us pay for breakfast 60€ that we never had. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Also the lady that checked us out was very rude.
Impressive setting but needs improvement
Stayed in the top floor suite (in the chateau), which had its own private access. Also a fantastic view of the Seine, with a panoramic terrace. That being said, the terrace could have done with some seating to make the most of it. The room itself was a mixed bag: while spacious and enjoying a lot of natural light/views, the floors creaked and the sound insulation was not satisfactory. Members of my family stayed in a regular room in the chateau, and this room was mediocre. Dirty carpet, creaky floors, lousy sound insulation, and an AC unit that was too far away to effectively cool the room. It wasn't viable to open the windows because there were a lot of mosquitoes in the area. Dining was satisfactory; tasty food, especially breakfast, but room service made mistakes. There is no denying that the hotel has a lot of character and history, and is set in a beautiful area with clean air and fantastic views. The staff are also very friendly and supportive. However, there are more negatives than should be. I may consider it again, but not sure.
We had a great experience in this restaurant with an amazing degustation menu. Everything was delicious with a beautiful presentation. We do recommend this restaurant and hope to come back. Beautiful view too
