More about the hotel
Basic cheap hotel
Hotel was basic, always kept clean and seemed rather dated especially that lift! However it served its purpose as a base for us to rest on our holidays. The breakfast was very minimal with not much selection and walls were thin. We were a minutes walk from station Roma termini and there were shops and restaurants nearby which was handy. So overall not bad for the price.
Budget hotel with excellent location
Excellent location . Just a few meters from Roma Termini. The area is lively till late night. Hotel rooms are good and staff very co-operative. Old fashioned small elevators for this small hotel .Reasonably good breakfast. Its is budget hotel so do not expect luxury. If you are all for site seeing , exploring Rome Roma Termini will be a node and location of the hotel would prove out to be perfect !
Great hospitality and Location
Located a stones throw away from Roma Termini, Hotel Corot is a gem of a Hotel. The staff is very welcoming especially the front desk. The room is adequate and clean. Housekeeping lady is extremely polite and courteous. She does a great Job. Would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast was sufficient.
Worst place I've ever stayed in my life.
Our experience did not start well, and went downhill fom there. We were watched by two men behind the reception desk as we struggled with two suitcases and three bags up the couple of stairs. No offer of help. One man spoke two words to us; 'name' and 'passport' then handed us the key with a word, never mind a smile or even a hello. The other man showed us the lift, again watching as we carried all our bags not offering to help. The hotel is old, shabby and is in desperate need of renovation. The corridors don't smell great, and the smell occasionally came up through the bathroom drain. The room was a reasonable size and although had obviously been cleaned, still felt grotty. Bedding was clean though. Walls are discoloured, lampshades torn, etc. Our key stopped working but was replaced by the sullen receptionist. The icing on the cake was the air conditioning. We wanted it turned up as it was freezing cold so as my husband was going out to buy water, he asked at reception only to be told to go back upstairs and phone down! He later did, only for it to be turned off! Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights at the end of a long trip through Italy, and were too tired to find another hotel. Breakfast was the usual cheap pastries, biscuits, tinned fruit and undrinkable coffee from a machine. Yes, it's close to the train station and the location worked well for our itinerary but it was a miserable experience.
Excellent location
Location yards from Rome Terminii, excellent starting point to visit all the sites. Very friendly staff, room clean and comfortable, good breakfast. Rooms a bit dated, but not a problem would have no trouble staying there again
