Minimal upholstery, very expensive , traffic noise
considering the I payed 85,00 €uros for 4 nigt payed in advance, the room is poor,In the night the traffic noise is terriblle. Infact the windows are slim and not avalible. The room is probably ok for less than 40,00 euror by night.
Basic
Very clean and homely, however i'd say this is more like a hostel than a B&B. Breakfast consisted of individually wrapped cakes, biscuits and pastry (no effort needed) and a coffee machine. No cereal or juice. Very friendly lady and was more than happy to help, clean linen every day and the room was very clean. Not disappointed for how much i paid, just a little underwhelmed by breakfast :(
Best place
This is really a nice place to stay. Away from the centre but still we connected by transport. Luna is a very nice person. Rooms are very clean. The area is also good. Lot of shops and good restaurants are at walking distance.
How Luana helped me in Rome
Firstly I was surprised that Largo Somalia housed a B and B establishment - I lived briefly in Via Somalia in 1995 - the experience was so good I extended my 6 month trial of living in Rome to 10 years - I only left to semi retire to Tuscany in 2005. I saw all the rooms in Luna D'est - all clean , basic yes , but very pleasant in all respects especially the very comfortable en-suite bathroom. I would recommend this B and B to anyone on a fixed lo-cost budget The 63 and 630 buses stop outside the door of Luna D'est and take you directly to the Spanish Steps (walk up Via Sistina) or the Trevi Fountain. An added advantage was the fact that the local train station , Normantana goes directly to the main Airport at Fuimicino All in all very good value for money Email me on alanrobinson2008@gmail.com for more details
