Laura at reception was so calm, kind, understanding, and helpful. This business is run with Western service standards, not Italian. I really do encourage you to use this place. Toilets and showers are exceptionally clean for a campsite, too. Own private beach. Really, great. Thanks!
Absolutely Ridiculous Treatment from Owner
Reviewed 15 July, 2019
Starting off I need to say that everyone who was working at this glamping lodge on Lago Bracciano were absolutely amazing and incredible, except for the owner himself.
Myself and a group of international friends living in Rome came to camp here as we have been many times in the past without any problems. We planned to spend the entire weekend here, about 10 of us, and just relax and bbq. We arrived the first night on Friday and began to cook and sit out on the shore near the water. We started to realize that the hour was getting late and that we should keep the noise to a minimum so we turned the music all the way down and kept it quiet. The nightwatchman comes over to remind us that, as we thought, quiet hours were beginning as it was 23:00. We stay awake for a bit chatting and wading into the water and go to bed around 2:00AM
Fast forward to the next morning, all of us are abruptly woken up by a man screaming at us in the center of all of our tents at 8:00AM.. He is screaming at all of us "YOU HAVE TO LEAVE! YOU HAVE TO GET OUT! YOU HAVE ONE HOUR TO GET OUT NOW! LEAVE NOW!" As literally anyone would be in this strange and ridiculous situation, we were quite confused and trying to ask what the problem was. The man is having none of this and points to the campers just behind our site and starts telling us that we were so loud last night that they are leaving.
He literally told us "everyone around your camp came and complained about you last night." Feeling quite confused and guilty, we start to make the rounds to every single camper around our site to apologize for the noise and try to make amends before leaving. Turns out the campers behind us who were "leaving because of our noise" had absolutely no problem with us and told us that they were already planning on leaving on that day because they had other plans. They said if we were being too loud they would have asked us themselves to keep it down, which they said was unnecessary because they had no problem with us. Every. single. camper. told us they didn't hear us and didn't have a single problem with us. One of our neighbors went as far as to come ask us why we were leaving and went to talk to the owner on our behalf, to no avail.
We are leaving the campsite at this point and we ask the owner what we could have done differently because clearly the reason we have to leave isn't because we were being too loud. Being weird and speaking in an incredibly roundabout way, he basically didn't give us a reason. Every other person working there was just as confused as us and all of our neighbors in the camping.
This is absolutely 100% ridiculous, uncalled for, and just plain strange. We have been to this camping before and had no problems. None of our neighbors had any problems. His reasons for kicking us out, in the most childish and immature way possible, were clearly falsified. We went to another camping "Camping Smeraldo" and immediately had a different experience; we became friends with the owners (which is completely family run) immediately, had nice chats with all of our neighbors and the employees, and were invited to a small party by the owners.
I will absolutely never go to or recommend, to anyone, Parco del Lago Glamping. I've never had such a strange and unsettling experience that I literally just created this TripAdvisor account to make this one, single review. Terrible experience.
Simple family camping site

This campsite is situated on a lovely lake. It is peaceful and safe for families. The staff are lovely and offer a pick up service from either airport in Rome for about €90 all together. The lake is beautiful to swim in and the caravan we stayed in was lovely.
You can bring your own tent/campervan as we saw many other do.
The only downside to this place was at the back near the restaurant there are a lot of "settled" campervans, although it probably means that this place is a hit with the locals, there is not a lot of maintenance in this part of the campsite, leading to shanty like views when walking to the reception area.
Other than that the food and drink is lovely and very cheap and the facilities are kept clean and simple.
If you are staying here I would recommend having a car, as there is little about and food is only served at certain times. There is a town about 10 minutes away that has a supermarket in it perfect for your own cooking.

We spent 3 nights here. Beautiful surroundings and lovely and comfortable lodge.Sunsets are amazing. The only downside is the public transport in the area but the owners do their best to accommodate and help at no extra charge. No problems if you go with your own car.100% recommended for a relaxing stay.
Once again - the best!

It's been such a wonderful summer here at the lodge, a few steps from the clear waters of lake Bracciano and in the shadows of the lush green trees.
Mornings usually offer calm, crystal waters perfect for going out with a canoe while the afternoon breeze is great for wind surfers.
Awesome pizza is served at the restaurant and barbeques with friends is easy to prepare "at home". Nearby Trevignano has some lovely restaurants at the lake that serves local fish.
We slept really well in the beds and were only disturbed by nearby parties or neighbours with young children. Problem solved with earplugs. :-)
Can't wait for next summer!
Thank you, Alessio and Corinna, for this wonderful stay.
