Hotel Donna Laura Palace

This is a truly wonderful hotel. Authentic and stylish. The staff are friendly and kind they cannot do enough to make you feel welcome. Even with all of the COVID-19 challenges they still found a way to provide quality friendly service. The food is excellent and they are happy to cater for allergies without any problem. My room was lovely and very clean and comfortable. I had an accident during my stay in Rome and the hotel team were brilliant they took very good care of me as I was in a lot of pain, nothing was too much trouble for them. I really recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to Rome.

I stayed at the Donna Laura Palace for two weeks in December whilst working nearby. The staff all spoke very good English and were very friendly. My room on the third floor was surprisingly quiet despite the hotel being situated on a main road. The room was a tad on the small side but very comfortable and clean. Room service couldn't be faulted, and my room was always neat and tidy on my return in the evening. Breakfast was pretty good, although the hotel could do with getting a new toaster for the bread as the toaster was painfully slow. I did miss Hash Browns and Baked Beans to go with my scramble eggs on toast. That said there was always a good selection of fruit, cheese, cold meats and cereal. The crusty rolls shaped like soccer balls were especially good as was the cappuccino coffee. I really enjoyed my stay at the Donna Laura Palace Hotel.

My family and I stayed in Laura Palace on August 7 to 10th. On our 2nd day stay in the afternoon we came back to our room to find that my clothes were taken out of my luggage. I did not think much of it, but when I was going out for dinner and went to put make up my Mac foundation and blush palette were missing off my make up bag. When I spoke to the Manager Alessio who was very nice to give me his business card and very apologetic advised us to make sure nothing else is missing and to write a list when we came back to the US. His first email was that he was on vacation and that he was going credit our account for the items when he came back and even till this day nothing. I’ve tried to contact them and no one responds. If you’re booking with this hotel be very careful with valuables.

We stayed there to watch the Rome open tennis 2019. The staff could not be more helpful. We arrived early, and they gave us somewhere to store our luggage, whilst we went to the tennis. The hotel was conveniently located, only a 15 minute taxi ride away, and on the main bus route. The room was wonderful and spotless. Due to being out all day we didn't eat in the restaurant, but breakfast was great. The Concierge could not be more helpful, arranging the transfer to the airport on our departure. A fantastic stay, and we'd stay there again, hopefully next May for the tennis.

We knew that it was situated outside the centre but it’s an easy walk into the many attractions. However we weren’t quite prepared for the level of the noise from the very busy road outside. We did get to the hotel at about 13.15 and we were told to come back at 15.00. Could have been a little more friendly and welcoming after travelling for a long time. The weather was sunny and warm and we asked to use the roof terrace and were informed that it was closed. This was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Breakfast was nice but service wasn’t great. There was a shortage every morning of cups, utensils, bowls and plates. Room was small with a balcony which was pleasant. Bathroom was small again but the shower was powerful. Rooms and hotel are very clean. No kettle and the mirror in the room was in an awkward position.
