Over priced and simply not worth the money

The moment we entered the entrance of the building, we were greeted by garbage bins and the stench filled up the air till level 2 of the staircase to the reception. It was definitely an unpleasant sight and smell that we have to bear with to get out for our walk. Luckily we only stayed one night there.
The loft room that I had chosen had a kitchen inside but it looked unclean especially the pots and the cupboards are falling off.
The knobs to our room came off when we tried opening. I think they need to do some renovation work to the loft room.
The bath room when the hand held shower splashed onto the soap holder, there was a plaster dropped down and the shower head looked dirty.
It was very noisy when people walked and talked downstairs cos the room is just a level up the ground level.
Though walking around to places of interest is convenient, I don’t think I will recommend to my friends cos of the unpleasant experience we had.
Fabulous Service and Perfect Location

My sister, my mum and I booked a trip to Rome for my sister's 30th birthday for 4 nights on 15th October 2019. We were due to arrive at Casa Bella Pantheon at 10.30pm and after quite an eventful flight to Rome where we landed at an airport 2 hours from our destination airport due to thunderstorms over Rome, we arrived at Casa Bella Pantheon around 4 hours after they expected us to arrive (about 2.15am).
I was initially very concerned that the staff at Casa Bella Pantheon would not stick around until we arrived as they do charge a fee for a later check. We had also heard a number of people on our flight saying that they couldn't reach their hotels on the phone so weren't sure where they were going to stay that night. I couldn't have been more wrong! Giuseppe (the manager) reassured me on the phone and sent me a number of text messages to assure me it was not our fault and ensure we were on our way and that he would wait until we arrived.
When we arrived Giuseppe was waiting outside for us with a big welcoming smile. I couldn't have been happier with the service at this point! He took us up to our room where we entered to find a beautiful bunch of flowers and a bottle of champagne displayed with a lovely "Happy 30th Birthday" sign for my sister! Such a lovely touch after the drama we had been through that evening.
Giuseppe left us to go to sleep and asked that we go to reception in the morning to ensure we have everything we need. My mum and I went down to reception the next morning to meet the lovely Alessia (Giuseppe's daughter) who advised us that she would not charge us for the transfer that had been arranged to pick us up initially at the airport which we thought was a really lovely thing to do. She was very understanding that we hadn't had the best start to our trip and she made everything feel so much better! Alessia gave us lots of restaurant and gelato shop recommendations which was fantastic!
The room was excellent, very modern and spacious. They have quiet times between 9am and 10pm which was great and you couldn't hear much noise from the people in the other rooms. The rooms are clean and all staff that we met were very friendly including the maids and maintenance people.
The location is perfect, steps away from the Pantheon. We were able to walk to all tourist attractions with the furthest being St Peters which took us around half an hour. It is so worthwhile to walk everywhere as you see so many nice churches, streets and shops that you wouldn't normally find.
The street outside is busy and full of life during the day. Noise from the street starts around 10.30am and stops around 11pm which is perfect.
I couldn't recommend Casa Bella Pantheon highly enough for the fantastic service and care they gave us on our time in Rome. They really made us feel at home.
We will absolutely be back!
Cancel if you can!

Run from this place if you can. Rented for four nights in March. Didn't leave when we got there because I had that "no cancellation" discount rate. When you get there and open the door, the first thing you see are two garbage cans, some stairs, some mailboxes and the most disgustingly dirty floor. We went in and out like three times because we couldn't believe that this was a hotel. We even called Expedia to ask. They told us we had to go to the second floor. We went up on tiny again dirty elevator and the second floor to the right in the room was office. We had gone up before checking everything floor and never saw the office. Well they showed us the room and it looked okay until the surprises started showing. We tried the TV with the lady there and she couldn't get it to work. She said that the antenna had been broken and someone was coming to fix it tomorrow. Then we went to take a shower. That's right, mildew on all the tile grout. Then on the bottom of the door, it looked like mildew had been growing there for years. She had shown us the AC which was on with a hose on the back. Well to our surprise, when we turned on the AC, the hot air was being thrown back into the room through the hose. It was impossible to sleep with the window open because of all the noise coming from outside. Unless you go to sleep at 2 am when everybody in the neighborhood has gone to sleep. And finally, you sleep on memory foam mattress which has lost all it's memory. Don't say I didn't warn you. Run!

We stayed in Casa Bella Pantheon from 22-24 Oct 2018, (2 adults, 13 year old & 10 year old). We pre- arranged with the host a private taxi from airport to Casa Bella which cost 50 euros, this was a very good service as we didn't waste time on the trains with children.
Location is perfect as we walked everywhere, it was a nice busy area with a the best ice-cream shop just outside.
The Pantheon is literally 2 minutes walk, the Trevi fountain is about 10 minutes walk. We walked to the Colosseum and I would say this was the furthest which took us about half an hour. We decided to walk as it was a good way to see other things on the way.
The Vatican City was a whole day experience enjoyed by us very much. We pre booked tickets (skip the queue) in the UK before we left and this saved us a tremendous amount of time as we went straight in and could see the hundreds of people queuing around the Vatican city wall. There are many ticket sellers trying to get you to buy fast-track tickets, however, we cannot comment whether this is any good or value for money.
Eating out is easy as there are so many places to enjoy some great Italian food.
Casa Bella is a lovely place to stay, it had a double bed and then 2 singles in the same room which was perfect for us. Bathroom was ok and room was clean.
There is a communal kitchen which we did use to make coffee & toast and to store food and drink in the fridge.
The host was very pleasant and welcoming and as our return flight was an evening one she was so kind to let us store our luggage and collect later.
Great location but not exactly as described and is need of a good cleaning

I’ll start by saying that the two things that are most important to me in a hotel are location and cleanliness. Casa Bella is in the perfect location to visit Rome - everything is in walking distance and you are close to fabulous restaurants and all the sights. But we booked a two bedroom and to say we had a two bedroom would be a bit of a stretch. It’s an open concept so basically one big room with a bookcase and a half wall separating the ‘bedroom’ from the rest of the apartment. So if one person is watching TV the entire apartment is watching TV and if one person is staying up to read then everyone is. It might work for a couple with a young family but not for more than two adults. There are two bathrooms both with showers covered in black mold. There is a kitchen but it has never been cleaned and the cupboards are dirty, there is just watered down dish soap so you know the people before you haven’t been able to wash their dishes properly either and there’s a dishcloth that looks and smells like it’s never been washed and is teaming with bacteria. There is wifi but it doesn’t really work in the room - you need to go into the common area. The people are nice and helpful and this could be a lovely spot if it was properly cared for but unfortunately it isn’t and for the price you pay you can do better.
