STAYED TWICE WE LIKED IT THAT MUCH!
Reviewed 1 August, 2021
We liked it so much we came back to stay again at the end of our backpacking trip around Italy! The service from the front of house staff, the breakfast staff and the cleaners was amazing, they were all very attentive and helpful. The room was spotless and basic enough for what we wanted. Room: We knew we weren't going to be in the room for much so it was served its purpose as a good place to sleep in a quiet clean environment. The only improvement that could be made to the room, is to include a door to separate the bathroom from the bedroom (the door is only separating the toilet/shower area from the wash basin). The beds and pillows were comfy. There was a mini fridge which was stocked with water upon arrival. Breakfast: The staff at breakfast were always very helpful and attentive, adapting to the new situation of table service instead of buffet service. There is a wide variety of items available for meat eaters and vegetarians. Vegans may struggle although I'm sure if you ask the staff they would be able to make something up. Location: good walking distance to all the famous landmarks and attractions. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Rome!
DON’T BOOK HERE

Unfortunately a Zero isn’t an option for star rating. Booked our honeymoon in 2019 to go in July 2020. Covid hit. We couldn’t leave the country or enter Italy and they refused to refund our money. We have gone back and forth for over a year with management (Alessi) who agreed after many phone calls/emails that we should be on a “Priority list” to get our money back. Its been almost two years since we booked and 9 months since we received written confirmation that we would be getting money back and nothing. They can’t even provide an explanation for their tardiness and poor customer service. Do not trust this hotel, chain, or staff with your money, let alone your belongings sitting in your room. It’s been nothing but a headache and a battle. Save yourself and pay extra to stay somewhere that is a reputable company.
No Customer Service

I was very excited to visit Rome Life Hotel for my honeymoon. Hotel was booked through Agoda booking in February 2020 for a April 2020 trip, yes it was booked "non-refundable". The pandemic hit, our flights were cancelled by the airline, we had no way to get to Italy from Chicago, USA. After emailing Agoda, they reached out to Rome Life on our behalf. They even received an email that Rome Life hotel was not operating as normal, and communications were delayed due to the pandemic. The response received from Rome Life was refusal to give a refund. I understand the original booking was "non-refundable", however, with the circumstances I am appalled that there was not an understanding of a global pandemic. Very disappointing customer service during these difficult times.
A lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Rome

fantastic little boutique hotel located in a really convenient part of town.
The rooms themselves were nicely decorated with a good entertainment system. There are some reviews on here saying that the room was small, which I didn't find to be true. There was sufficient space to store the baggage and move around the room.
The corridors and breakfast room have a quaint lay-out to them and reminded me of the Woody Allen film Sleeper which adds to the hotels character !!!
The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food. I am a vegetarian and there was more than enough for me.
The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and our first day, helped us with our bearings and directions around the city.
In terms of location, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk away from the Trevi Fountain which is the liveliest part of Rome in the evenings. The Colleseum and the Palantine Hill area is about 15 minutes walk away in the other direction. The street the hotel is on is really pretty, with a few cafes / restaurants to eat at. There is a metro station at the end of the street , but because the hotel was so centrally located, we didn't need to use it.
Well located and comfortable hotel for leisure stays
Reviewed 20 March, 2020
We stayed here for a week and this hotel has a lot to like, from its location not far from the Coliseum, the comfortable rooms, and the staff. The free cell phone in the room was also a nice touch. On the minus side, this hotel was not as well equipped for business travellers or to get work done: there wasn't a desk in the room, and none of the common areas had sunlight or were well suited to working in for a long period (there is a computer with a printer though). Overall I'd recommend this mainly for leisure travellers and perhaps for shorter stays or for people who don't spend much time in their hotels.
I also feel I must give a special mention of the breakfast at this hotel, which is included with the cost and was excellent. There was cake (including vegan!), an espresso machine, yogurt, several different kinds of cheese and bread, grilled vegetables, multiple kinds of fruit and fruit salad... all very good. The hours it was served at were also good (I think 7am to 10:30am) and allowed sleeping in a bit!
