Arrived 21st sept 2020.when we checked in staff friendly got our key to room.wasn’t happy with it.very small.very depressing,so I went down asked for another room.which have to say the guy was brilliant showed us another room which we took.was a bit better .
We got plenty clean towels/toiletries when needed, also asked for another pillow again got it straight away.
Breakfast however wasn’t great.all very sweet.and not a big choice.
No kettle in room.which was a first.so we bought one.as I like a coffee at night .think this is something they should look at doing moving forward.
But overall any problems we had got fixed no problem.and fast
So would I stay again yes.but would look into rooms a bit more
Rome is beautiful hotel was close to everything and very quiet.
The B- Place

Ah, The B Place Hotel, "Condo". We booked our hotel with click and go. All good so far. We checked-in to be told the hotel was full and we would be staying in the Annex a block and a half away from the hotel. Not so good. We were given a set of keys of three. After unlocking a door, gate , door and finally our room, using all three keys. Lord forbid a fire. Never make it out. The room was small but clean. There were no bed side lockers or table. The mini bar consist of 1 bottle and 1 beer. So no hotel experience and a hassle getting in and out. Not so good.
B Hotel Rome

We have just returned from a short break 4 nights in Rome. We stayed at the B Hotel , it was very reasonably priced very comfortable and clean. The staff all of them right down to the cleaners were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very convenient for walking around to see all the sights, the desk staff gave us maps and pointers to getting around. Breakfast was good coffee nice giving plenty of fuel walking around alday. There is free wifi and when you get back you can sit on the roof terrice in the sun to wind down and relax before going out to eat. There is a mini fridge and a free safe
Basic all around

Booked the triple room which is behind the reception desk. Walls are very thin and we could hear the conversation in the room next to us. The drain in the shower does not drain well and the basin will fill up quickly. Towels are paper thin and front desk staff are not the most friendly. Breakfast is very basic and they will charge extra if you drink orange juice or want an omelet, I would recommend skipping the "breakfast" they provider and eating at one of the nearby cafes. Besides that good location to explore the Vatican.
A good base from which to explore the beautiful city of Rome

We booked The B Place as part of a package with a UK tour operator. We were travelling on our first ever European city break, so wanted somewhere which was at least reasonably comfortable and convenient for the major attractions.
Overall we were quite satisfied with the hotel. It was a reasonable price as it was part of a package which included flights from Birmingham (around £575 total for 2 people, for 4 nights/5 days).
So, to give the pros and cons:
Extremely convenient for walking to the Vatican, St Peter's Basilica, St Peter's Square (10 to 15 minutes away)
Walking distance to a range of bars and restaurants (however, they were quite expensive).
Nice Style - Bohemian look bedrooms (although the one we were in was looking a little tired - but no major problem with that)
Breakfast did the job of fuelling up for the day
Breakfast staff were efficient and friendly.
Breakfast coffee was nice.
Desk staff were very friendly, in particular Thierry and the lady concierge (didn't ask her name)
Daily cleaning and if we didn't want the cleaning, a bag with clean towels and toilet rolls was left by the door - a great idea which I have never seen done anywhere else
Before I give the Cons, I would say that it a shame that many of these would be easily resolved for a little price
No coffee or tea making facilities in the room
No bottled water left in the room
Very thin, cheap towels - insufficient to dry yourself properly without resorting to a hand towel as well. Horrible and cheap.
Strange bedding arrangement - my side of the bed was made up of 2 sheets with a blanket in between, my wife's side was 2 sheets and a duvet, folded in half, sandwiched in between
Shower tray filled with water - which to put it bluntly was rank. This has been mentioned on a number of reviews - so buy a plunger and get it sorted!
Walls were paper thin. Luckily we went in the quiet season so there was only one night when somebody was next door - on the phone, loudly, until 2.00 am!
Breakfast was fine, but there were lots of sugary cake type things.
Overall, we thought the hotel stay was fine for the price.
