Let’s Talk about Basic
I was just looking for a place to stay that was clean and cheap. The price was right. Check-in was quick and friendly and efficient. There was free parking although make sure u don’t leave anything in the car due to the sketchy-ness of the area. Car was safe in the AM. Room was extremely basic with no extra furniture and no art on the walls at all! Room was clean . Smaller tv than most rooms. Bathroom had only one towel and a bath mat. That was it! Only a few hotel soaps and that was all that was offered. Although it was basic, it fulfilled all I needed that night. I showered twice, once at night and once in am and surprisingly the water was hot! AC blew strong. No issues and a happy customer.
Last minute choice
The hotel was very quiet and the price was reasonable rooms were pretty outdated and unappealing but it was a last minute choice. The people at the front desk were super rude, and I just wanted to hurry and get out of the office and in ot the room.
Not safe.
We chose this motel as it was close to UCD Medical Center. When we checked in the counter person was hurried and short with customers. The room was found to be unclean, looked like someone shaved and never rinsed the sink afterward. The toilet was dirty with stool. The bed was made, with cigarette burns found all over the bedspread. The Sacramento Police where everywhere even stopped to check people as they came and went from rooms. We will never stay at a Motel 6 again.
Dirty!
The sidewalks were filthy. The room floor dirty as was the shower. Had to stay 2 nights so the sink and shower weren't cleaned. No bath towels the second day. Absolutely no amenities. No tissues, no hair dryer, no coffee pot or microwave. We did get an extra role of toilet paper. I'll give them this, the sheets were clean. Won't ever stay there again.
We would not stay here again
My husband and I stayed in a first floor, double bed room. At midnight the people around us were making a lot of noise; we turned on the bathroom fan but it didn’t drown out the noise. I found a candy wrapper in the bathroom, a used cup under the bed, a light over the bed was burned out (the night manager could not give us a new lightbulb because they were “locked up”), the grill over the bathroom fan was falling off, and the WiFi was too spotty to use. We’ve stayed in a lot of Motel 6’s around the country and we were very surprised-and disappointed- by this one. One reviewer said it was a great location; actually, it was in a really sketchy neighborhood - and the motel parking lot and walkways were littered with trash (including used bandaids).
