Very Dog Friendly
Reviewed 7 September, 2021
First. I read some of the reviews. The rooms are fine. This is my fourth time. I’m very picky. No one is talking about dog friendly. The Inn at Perry cabin is very dog friendly. The food is outstanding. And I am very fussy about my food.If I had to complain. I would only comment that the quality of the food is not equal to there wine list.
Five Star Resort Living!!

World class service; extraordinary accommodations. The grounds are impeccable. The food is gourmet quality. You are treated like royalty. Beautiful pool, a fleet of boats… and fun fitness classes and spa. I just wish the staff would get vaccinated so we could take off the darn masks!
Kindness and a first class experience

Just back from what was supposed to have been a two night stay, cut short by our dog sitter calling us at 4am on night one to say she had brought our puppy to the ER. After determining we needed to cancel the next 10 days of our planned road trip and come hone, we checked out of our gorgeous room (room 17, I highly recommend it) at 1pm and asked for nothing but just to sign the bill. The man at the front desk asked us why we were leaving early and then called us 5 minutes later to say they weren’t charging us for that entire night. Given that we left at 1pm, that there were two weddings going on and how expensive the hotel is, and that we didn’t even attempt to ask for money back, we were shocked that they did this for us (and this was certainly not what we experienced with the other hotels we had to cancel). They’ve got customers for life for truly showing us what first class customer service means. Plus…the resort is stunning, we managed to fit in a kayak and a sailing lesson with the incredibly knowledgeable Captain Jim and get some needed R&R at the pool. We will be back and thank them so deeply for their kindness during such a stressful situation!
Quaint space with tiny rooms for a premium price
Reviewed 17 August, 2021
The location is amazing, the outdoor space is well laid out and the landscaping is well kept. They have a good gardening staff and seem to focus on that well.
The rooms are disappointing. For the extreme price you'd expect a bit more space. Or have the rooms designed without the massive furniture. If you can't walk around the bed when wardrobe is open should you still have two bulky tables and another chair to further cramp the room.
Our room was also directly next to the Purser bar, so from 3pm until close it was noisy with klinking of glasses, plates and silverware. When we complained they close the outside door which helped with the noise from the bar except when people came to make it creak open. The process repeated itself daily during our stay. The inside of the room was clean enough, but the exterior was a bit unsightly, covered with dirt/algae growth. Yeah, I realized it's on the water, but it didn't look as if it had been cleaned since the winter.
The amenities were fine, but not what I'd expect for $1200 per night. The pool didn't have towels until 10:45-11am each day at which point every seat was already take, so you'd need to get there before 7am to score a towel or hang out until 11 without one. The staff is helpful and friendly, but I had to have a few items fixed on the bill at checkout due to mistakes, the attention to details was not there.
The inn is what I call "pet tolerant" meaning you can have them in the room. You can't leave them, so plan well ahead if you want to eat dinner at the restaurant because the outdoor seats are at a premium and very hard to get. We could never score one for breakfast and had mixed success with dinner. You obviously can't have your pet at the pool, so plan to go in shifts if you want to do that. If your furry family member is noise sensitive be sure to get a room away from the middle of the Inn, as those rooms (like the one we had) provide a constant source of anxiety as the sound travels and echos easily from the main area.
In the end, it's probably one of the nicest place in the area, but I suspect you can find a good time at a much more reasonable price point.
Gorgeous Views, Incredible Visit
Reviewed 1 August, 2021
My husband and I just spent a long weekend at Inn at Perry Cabin (IPC) for our “babymoon” and had an amazing visit. Not only are the views stunning, but the food was delicious and the staff was incredibly accommodating. On our first night, our original room had a small maintenance issue- no one’s fault. The front staff/managerial staff was so apologetic, upgraded our room and offered additional compensation. They were so kind and made us feel so welcome and special. Upon checkout, they even provided a small gift for each of our future twins- very thoughtful and they definitely went above and beyond. Aside from the exceptional service, the amenities provided are top notch. We enjoyed serene massages, wonderful poolside service, and a heavenly sailing trip with Captain Rich. We explored the lovely town of St. Michael’s via bike rides and shuttles from the amazing valets at IPC. In the evenings, we enjoyed grabbing a beverage from Purser’s pub, and relaxing, watching the sailboats on the Miles River. Dinner and breakfasts from STARS Restaurant were so delicious, and a wonderful way to start and end our days.
Many thanks to Eva, Ryan, Captain Rich, Ashley, Tykwon and the entire team at IPC. It was truly the perfect trip; we are so sad to leave this morning, but we will certainly be back.
