Interesting medieval dungeon

Reviewed 7 february, 2020

Had a medieval dungeon feel with old timbers and brick. The room was dark, no window in our room, a bit dirty, no a/c or heat and it did get a bit stuffy then cold. Breakfast was good and included: fruit and bread but you need to ask for the made to order eggs. Noisy: from the other rooms, bathrooms, and breakfast area.

Do not book - terrible!!!

Dark dark rooms loud noise from hallway and sewer lines absolutely every minute, dirty stained sheets, super hard mattress (floor like), beyond poor breakfast - a nightmare. Staff friendly but ignorant of standards hospitality.

Good Location Can Be Noisy

Reviewed 12 february, 2017

Hotel Casa Indigo is located only a few blocks from the Plaza. The hotel is clean and has a lovely enclosed courtyard. Breakfast was good - coffee, pastries and scrambled eggs. Unfortunately it can be noisy. The wooden floorboards create so much noise with people walking on them and suitcases. Our room was #25 right beside the staircase and you could hear everyone returning late at night or leaving early in the morning. Also our room was very dark. You can hear everyone also turning over in bed, the metal bedheads bang up against the wall.

Great location, very loud! Ear plugs.

Reviewed 18 march, 2016

This hotel is located very close to everything . Walking to centre, market, museums is easy. Parking says its included but we were charged. Breakfast was lovely and included in stay. Our room is # 65, it's on the corner of the building at sidewalk level. King bed. Clean, tv, hot water. The room is secure with window locks and bars but it sounds like we are sleeping on the street. Horns, cars, mototaxi, people walking past, people talking, the person in room next/above blows their nose and it wakes you up. I'm a medium- heavy sleeper and seriously recommend ear plugs! By the way, if you need ear plugs go one block turn right, 2-3 blocks towards centre and there's a music store that has them . 1 pair -20 pesos. Pharmacy does not carry any.

Relax at this quaint "mountain inn"

Reviewed 14 march, 2016

We found Hotel Casa Indigo a quaint and relaxing place to stay. The complimentary coffee and tequila was a nice touch. It was quiet but not too far from shopping and exploring the many shops which line the long main street all the way to the church and its long flight of stairs. The view from up there is quite scenic. We found the breakfast delicious and the staff friendly and helpful.
