Lots of surprise fees! A budget hotel that still tries to rip you off.

Pros: clean mid-century furnishings with comfortable bed. Walkable to eco boat rentals and restaurants. Well priced. Remodeled bathroom. Cons: surprise added fees. Their own hotel website states resort fee is $15 and parking fee is $15, but hotel charged $20/ night for each. The couple who checked out before us also complained about the same surprise fees. Outdoor corridors and thin windows/ doors lead to lots of noise from the downstairs restaurant until 10PM. Resort fee $20 includes half a cup of coffee. No telephones in room. I was most disappointed by the surprise added fees. Wouldn't stay here again.
Good but not good!

Our room was updated and clean. However, the screen almost fell off when we tried to go to the balcony. We heard the downstairs - restaurant , bar parties at night. We heard the guests in our hallway coming and going and we heard the next door shower as if it was in our bathroom. And were charged more than what the original confirmation receipt was. Not much - but could not do the math on those $6. Unfortunately, the pool area was not inviting to actually use as the restaurant/ bar patrons were right on the edge of it. Really wonderful rooms but environment needs working on.
Distinctive updated midcentury motel

This is the perfect motel for certain types of travelers; the room is well appointed and comfortable, and the people who work here are exceptionally kind and helpful. The hotel is in a busy part of town, but there are many amenities within walking distance, and there is a bus stop across the street, so it's easy to get around if you don't have a car. The Pearl is one of my new favorites!
Late night Check in

I found this room to be small and expensive, but with very soft pillows and bed. We had not water, which also is a plus. It was also very quiet. The downside is there is no phone in the room, No coffee maker, so the morning was rough. Also, the pool, although closed upon our arrival was quite dirty. Additionally the breakfast that could barely feed one, was $35+

Single pane windows and no door insulation means you hear everything outside. Not only is the outside normally noisy, but then they play a movie at full volume in the common area just outside all the rooms. No elevator, and nobody to help with bags... so don't come if you have heavy bags or are elderly. No fridge and no coffee in room finishes the trifecta...
