Elegant environment and highly-professional, friendly staff made for a fantastic stay. From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a queen! From the valet, to the bartender, to the concierge and restaurant staff I was met with care and consideration. It was wonderful.
Epitome of Four Seasons Service

I have stayed at many Four Seasons properties - from Bora Bora to Beijing, Toronto and beyond. The Four Seasons San Francisco represents the best of the hotel brand. Staff are very safe and caring, and they did an excellent job of anticipating our needs and those of our 13 month old daughter. We not only had the crib and high chair requested, but also a diaper genie, a few diapers and wipes, as well as a stuffed toy crab.
Staff learned our names quickly, and never missed a beat. Excellent integration of in-person and digital services through the Four Seasons app. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to SF.
The Equinox spa and gym is also fantastic. Excellent services.
Special thanks to Timothy from the concierge team who helped us plan a fantastic getaway. He also had excellent problem solving skills and anticipated our needs very well.

I am writing to share about the incredible experience I had while staying at the Four Seasons on Wednesday, August 11.
From the minute I called I was reminded about why the Four Seasons is one of my most favorite hotels IN THE WORLD. I had been calling for many months, hoping that you would have reopened when a number of hotels had reopened earlier this year. I must have called once a week! Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I learned you opened on August 1st.
As you know, my friend Amy had made a reservation via Orbitz, and I am a big believer in working directly with the hotel directly. Konrad, you were simply amazing! You provided me with a great rate and a beautiful upgrade for both of us. My room (1116) had my favorite view. Of the many times that I have stayed at the Four Seasons with my family, we always have requested that view!! You enabled an early check in so that we could get to all of our wedding related activities which made everything so easy. You have a wonderful way of making all that you do look effortless!
Your entire team provided me with superior service, warm and welcoming smiles as they welcomed me back after such a long and difficult time. Consistently impressive!
I truly have left my heart in San Francisco each and every time I have stayed with your beautiful home. Something about it always brings me peace, serenity, and a lot of joy.
A great option in downtown SF!

If you are looking for a luxury hotel in downtown SF, The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is a great choice.
The hotel is located along Market Street with an unassuming entrance for vehicles on Stevenson. The hotel is very centrally located near Union Square, Yerba Buena Gardens, SFMOMA and other museums. This entire area of San Francisco is touristy, boring and kind of grimy, but you are an easy Uber to neighborhoods in San Francisco with more character. For corporate travel this location is perfect with easy access to both SoMa, Mid-Market and the Financial District.
The rooms in the hotel beautiful and well-designed. Our room had a wonderful view of the cityscape and all of the comfortable Four Seasons touches you can expect (exceptionally comfortable beds, indulgent bathrooms, a great workspace etc.). They room felt quite large for an urban hotel and had a calming blue, white and gray palette . There is also a large window-seat for relaxing and enjoying the view.
The other primary facility at the hotel is the Equinox Sports Club SF - there is an entrance directly from the Four Seasons, and folks staying at the hotel have full access to the Equinox's facilities. The gym is massive with multiple floors of equipment, a spa, juice bar, boutique, indoor lap pool and various spaces for group fitness classes and private training. While the gym is shared with local members and receives much more use than a typical hotel gym, the equipment is up-to-date and design spaces the facilities out in such a way that it will not feel crowded outside of peak times.
All of the food and beverage options we encountered at the hotel were excellent. We had a number of great meals through in-room dining though the cocktails at MKT Bar were a particular standout. While the best food in the area lies beyond the hotel and even beyond the area around the hotel, if you need to enjoy a meal in-house you will not be disappointed.
The service at the Four Seasons Hotel SF is what you have come to expect from Four Seasons -- which is to say, warm and professional. When we sat down in the lounge we were greeted quickly, the check-in/check-out process was a breeze and all of our requests made over the phone or through the app arrived on time and with a smile. The service at the Equinox was not quite to that Four Seasons level of polish, but was good nonetheless.
The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is a great choice for folks wanting to stay in downtown SF near the conference centers, museums or Union Square. While I would consider it fairly middle-of-the-pack for a Four Seasons urban hotel, there is not a better alternative in the area (I would say your other best options are the St. Regis or the other downtown Four Seasons) so would consider returning here without hesitation.

Lovely room and property - booked with Amex FHR and got a very nice upgrade w/ a great view and a ton of light. Very comfortable beds, good food options for in room dining. Can’t go wrong at the four seasons. Also appreciated them actually paying attention to COVID guidelines and vaccination status - felt a little safer.
