Check in was a nightmare

The room was nice, bed was very comfortable, water pressure was good, location great but checkin was a nightmare. Long line at check in, only 2 people at the front desk and it took at least 15 mins to check in each person. Hilton app was not working. Even at check out app was not working requiring me to once again stand in line. A miserable experience.
Great view of San Francisco however the neighborhood was a little sketchy but overall a good location and great service

Great view of the skyline from where the building was constructed. Neighborhood a little sketchy but great team members of the Hilton family to help and assist with my needs to find areas and or restaurant selections to entertainment
Do not recommend this hotel

Avoid this hotel. Booking process is very complicated, you don’t get a room you wanted, check in takes ages and it’s pricy. Recommend Hyatt or Marriott. It has nice staff and location but there are really better hotels that offer same and make you feel better.

Diamond member I am, this hotel is as close to a flawless diamond as possible. The lady manager takes pride on running for 30 plus years the largest hotel on San Francisco. It runs like a clock. The Bistro serves breakfast to go, an excellent dishes of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage or delicious bacon. No formal meals served. High speed Otis elevators wish you to heaven. The 41st floor commands the best view around. A bat, now open only requires your vaccination proof on your phone. Sadly the longest check in counter is sparsely filled. No conceige as before, but the operator connects you with a man who looks up everything. A taxi it two is outside in the early morning. Caution in ordering Uber or Lyft best done from the lobby as a wrong address to be picked up flashes at times as hotel is the largest in San Francisco. No overnight laundry. Rooms quiet and clean as the hallways. No orders either. Lobby well lite. Doorman opens your car door in front. Security excellent yet subdued. Generous to the community, meals and furnishings given out for years. Hotel well respected in the city. A black ck from Union Square. San Francisco is a walking city. All you could hope for at your doorstop. Cable cars are a must do.
Great location, bad customer service

As of late, my experience at Hilton properties have been disappointing. On this particular stay, here are the following reasons for my rating:
1. Pool was visibly dirty and hot tub was cloudy.
2. Customer service at the Herb and Kitchen was lacking basic skills.
3. After contacting management about my poor experience at the cafe, he expressed no explanation/solution and simply refunded my charge to get me off the phone.
