Casona Loreta

This hotel is in a nice building, has a lovley quiet backyard with a small pool. The rooms are austere but clean and spacious, the beds comfy and rooms overlooking the garden are very quiet. The neighbourhood is a bit grungy, but safe. Lots of little international eateries within walking distance. Christian manning the front desk spoke Spanish only, had very little information and was not able to book us on any excusrsions. For this we had to go to the sister hotel ( Hotel Loreto) one block away. We had recurring problem. For security reason one has to be let into the hotel by pushing a button on the outside gate. That is fine and dandy if there is someone there to let you in. We arrived after the official check in time and were left standing on the hot sidewalk with luggage and all. Three days later my husband let an arriving party into the hotel after hearing continous ringing. I went for a walk in the morning and when I got back at 8 AM there was nobody there to let me in. I was locked out four times and had to go to the sister hotel to find someone with a key to take me back and let me in. Thankfully the staff at the Loreto hotel was very accommodating and helpful. This problem might have been due to a staff shortage and it is too bad, because the Casona Loreto iss really a lovely place to stay.

I recommend this very nice and cozy hotel, conveniently located in a pleasant part of Santiago. Front desk personnel, and more especially the manager were really nice and very helpful. Breakfast buffet is well supplied. I suggest to ask for a room not directly on Loretto street as it is a little noisy though (but this is Santiago ...)

This hotel was well positioned close to restaurants and the Funicular! The staff were fabulous and went out of their way to assist and help. The towels and toiletries could do with an upgrade, looking shabby. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good but the room was very austere not a pleasant room to sit in. Overall a nice stay.

Casona Loreto is a nice alternative to bigger hotels in Santiago. Located in lively and funky Bellavista, it's within walking distance from many interesting places and neighborhoods, such as the central market, Cerro San Cristobal, Barrio Lastarria, the fine arts museum, etc. The staff is young, low key and very friendly. The rooms are nice and spacious. The breakfast could be more interesting.

This is a lovely little property much like a larger BnB. Rooms were large and airy with updated bathrooms. The location is fairly central with lots of restaurants in the area. The breakfast was good with a decent selection. The staff were very helpful and all spoke English. Would recommend.
