Outstanding Hospitality at a Gracious Historical Inn
Opinión escrita el 10 de Junio de 2021
Our stay was wonderful. The Inn is well situated within the historic district and the rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Having said that, the house manager at this gracious historical inn made all the difference. She went above and beyond to help us secure dinner reservations and spots on coveted tours, and regaled us with tales of the home’s history while we enjoyed the sumptuous breakfasts she cooked. Her love of the home is evident and her commitment to making every guest welcome was truly exemplary. We met several other charming couples and enjoyed chatting with them by the peaceful pool nestled under a pergola in the back of the inn. What a wonderful weekend!
Southern Charmer with a Few Flaws

This historical Inn is full of charm and ideally located. It's quiet, quaint and purple. While we enjoyed staying there, it needs some TLC. Our bedding was worn, and made me wonder when was the last time it had been cleaned, We also had a several friendly spiders drop onto our bed from the chandelier - I know it's Savanah, but we didn't want this threesome.
The host of the Inn was very on top of making sure we knew how to get in the house, and that was very appreciated. It's important to note, the rooms do not have their own thermostat, so you are at the mercy of the one locked in a box in the hall. I also cannot recommend this to anyone who is not comfortable or able to climb the STEEP, TALL front door stairs - they are potentially dangerous and not for everyone
So while this Amethyst may have a few flaws, it's still a gem at the right price with a clear understanding of what you are getting.

My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. The innkeeper, Chemise, is the best part of this Inn. She is lovely, personable, and cooks fantastic breakfasts! We were very impressed by her.
The house itself was the more disappointing part of our stay. We were in the Ivy Room, which is a garden level room. The photograph of this room online was much better than what it actually looks like in person. Garden level rooms are essentially basement rooms that can only be accessed outside of the main home. The room felt old and not in a charming way that is typical of other Savannah B&Bs. It doesn’t feel 100% clean which could be remedied if the owner would invest in a small refresh and update. There was absolutely no privacy in the water closet/toilet area, as the door sticks so you can’t close it all the way and there is a huge gap between the floor and bottom of the door. Two of the tiles under one window in our room had obvious water damage, and we probably could have put our foot through them if we pressed down hard enough. No AC, but a small fan was in the room and no TV (the Inn’s website states this but it seems some travel sites list TV availability). The bed was not the most comfortable.
Overall we were pretty disappointed in the accommodations for the price we paid. We’ve stayed at several other B&Bs and this one, unfortunately, is at the bottom of the list.

Great bed and breakfast, kind, friendly and knowledgable staff member and the owner of property is friendly also.
Great breakfast every morning, beautiful grounds surrounding the inn. Rooms are large, welcoming and very clean. Its a Quiet relaxing Oasis from the hustle and bustle of everday life. The Amethyst Gardens is my new place were I am staying evertime I come to Savannah.
Thank you for such great memories and new frienships

Wonderful getaway in a charming home. The Inn Keeper was a delight. Highly recommend this beautiful home. Location is in a quiet area and everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious and they have sweet treats available during the day to enjoy with a cup of tea. We loved our weekend retreat in Savannah.
