DIRTY!!! WINDOW VIEW HAD GARBAGE TO LOOK AT!!!
Reviewed 17 october, 2021
This hotel lobby was the only thing that looked nice... The room need updating. The bathroom door had a big hole in it and they front desk didn't know about it. We made sure they knew right away, cause we did not want to get blamed for it. The ceiling above shower was in the process of being fixed. The floor was dirty. AND You looked out the window and you looked at garbage!! It was their property too not next door. Over turned laundry cart, and not cleaned/neat at all.... We would not stay here again.
Good Hotel - Substandard Breakfast/Coffee
Reviewed 15 august, 2021
We had made a reservation using our points. The location was excellent with a variety of bars and restaurants . Upon arrival, there was one receptionist checking in guests....the line was long, so we went out to eat. Our room was very clean and set up well. The AC was blasting so we turned on the fan to take off the chill - the fan smelled musty. In the morning, we went down for coffee before 7. The coffee maker in the lobby was hooked up but empty. I mentioned it to the receptionist that it was empty and she simply said, "I don't know" So we waited for the breakfast too open. The eggs and sausage were cold, the orange juice, watery and the biscuits so hard I was unable to eat them. Choice usually has a delicious breakfast - this was substandard. The cleaning crew on the 4th floor was very friendly.

Not the cleanest. Close to restaurants, staff wad nice but looks like they need a new cleaning crew. I don't like finding finger nail clippings and stuff on the floor. I would pay a little more for cleanliness. Other than that it serves its purpose.
Zero Attention to Maintenance or Housekeeping
Reviewed 9 april, 2021
Stayed April 2021. Gives a whole new meaning to the word 'disappointment'. Pros: convenient to restaurants, affordable, on the trolley route Cons: 1) Maintenance: The pool heater was STILL broken. Based on other reviews I read post-trip, it's been down for a long time. Pool was colder than Lake Superior in the fall months and with zero advertising that it was "down" other than a simple sign on the door, we never would have booked our stay here if we had known (could it be an intended tactic for business?!?) Room #304 had carpet border on the wall coming loose that was stapled to the drywall (that will never work). Stains that looked like bright red Kool-Aid. Overall simple fixes that were never tended to that would make a difference. Makes you think there is either an open maintenance vacancy and/or zero funding for property improvements. 2) Housekeeping: this is what made the visit the most disappointing. Family of 3 in our room, only provided towel sets for 2 people. Had to request additional towels each day. Two days of room cleaning and no beds made, nothing refilled, zero coffee/sugar/creamer, no cups, and NO TP resulting in us having to use facial tissue our last day! My view only trash was emptied and that was all. 3) Front Desk Staff: were kind but zero instructions, welcome packet, etc. We waited over one hour for the trolley ride to pick us up that we paid for. The front desk never told us it was required to let them know we were riding. April from the Trolley told us they called the front desk knowing we were riding to confirm and the desk told them we weren't there even though we were on the bench from 9am until nearly 10:30am. We had to take an Uber ($32 cost). I take this review seriously because I want to be honest in every way possible. This hotel cuts many corners and is lacking in basic requirements to run a proper and welcoming business from travelers coming new to the area. Hotels should consider their job as "Directors of First Impressions" for the tourism which is the livelihood of Savannah. But the beautiful people and city made up for the absolute lack-luster, lack-of-caring that this hotel has. Gave the impression that as long as they are getting by and paying the bills, that's good enough. My bet is this hotel will be closed in less than 5 years at this rate.
Skip this property if staying longer than 1 night

This property is located just outside downtown Savannah. It is surrounded by other hotels, a couple of restaurants, and gas stations. We chose this property for the room size and location. Checking in was easy but the front desk staff was very stressed. (And after check in, I never saw another front desk clerk the entire stay.) We were informed at check in that the free breakfast was currently continental grab and go bags. That was a disappointment as this was not noted on the property website. The room was mostly clean and what we expected. The issue came with other guests and housekeeping. Our floor smelled of marijuana so strongly that our room smelled like it off and on throughout our stay. Additionally, the housekeeping staff was beyond rude. Having to deal with angry, rude staff after just waking up multiple mornings was a horrible start to the day. Though the price for the room was very reasonable, I suggest choosing a different property.
