Great value, big clean rooms

Reviewed 26 november, 2022

What you expect from a residence hotel--- rooms are big and clean with kitchen and living area so it feels like staying in an apartment. Breakfast buffet is good, on site laundry and exercise facility. Stayed here for a week so the large room and amenities were great.

A hotel that despises where it’s located.

Zero stars. However, I was not given that option. Go figure! If you want to experience someone just making money off of you… This is the place for you! If you want to experience a staff and management that seems to despise the very location and people they purport to serve….this is for you! If you want to experience a staff that doesn’t even know or care about it’s environment well enough to direct someone to an iconic location… This is for you! If you want to waste your hard earned dollars… This is for you!

Rooftop Deck!!! Just a tad noisy.

We stayed in a 2bed/2bath suite for 3 nights in July 2022 with my family of 5. Our room faced Highway 99 / Aurora, on the 3rd floor (Room 332), and while I loved the western window in the beautiful Seattle evenings watching the sunset, it was kind of loud with a lot of traffic outside. But that said - it was a great spot for everything we wanted to do in the city, and does connect you easily to downtown while also being able to get to U of Washington. The best part about this hotel is the rooftop deck. Amazing. Honestly don't know why that's not the main picture for this hotel on Trip Advisor. From it, you look over Gas Light Park and Lake Union to the Seattle skyline. Gorgeous! There is also a dog run with turf which is nice for the pups (we didn't have ours). I will try to post a picture of the view. As far as rooms go, it was a normal Staybridge. We typically stay in these because we can get the larger suites and all stay in one 'apartment', so have been in dozens. They are very functional for families, have adequate breakfasts, and generally are quiet, clean, comfortable. This one would have been the same, except for location - great for convenience, bad for noise. If we come back to Seattle, I may choose a different spot, simply for the noise factor.... but if we can't get a 2 bed/2 bath, we'll be back here. They are just too hard to find.

Almost perfect except for sleeping.

Like many others have said, don't stay on highway side. This motel is literally right next to a highway?!. Staff was nice, place was clean. Crime must be an issue as everything requires a key card to access. The front door is also permanently locked. The room was great. A comfortable size with a couch, large desk and a mini kitchen with a standard size fridge! Many conference rooms and a social calender makes this geared towards long stay business types and conventioneers.

Bad room and refusal to trade for a habitable room.

We checked in and that was fine. We went to our room and it was 59 degrees. We left for dinner and turned up the heat, but it never warmed up. We asked for another room but they refused. The guy who came to fix it left without it warming up and said to wait 10 mins. Never warmed up. Again asked for another room as it was now 11pm. Still refused. They offered to give us extra blankets and half off. All we got were the blankets. Not a great place.
