Refusing to give refunds. Numerous emails sent over the last few months but still nothing back. I would not make another booking once the crisis is overdue to the very poor service I received. Still waiting on a refund
Excellent hotel in a fabulous location
We stayed for four nights in one of the garden rooms - our second stay. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a split level bathroom of generous proportions and had clearly been recently refurbished. The room was a fascinating mix of old and new. The hotel's location in Santa Cruz is excellent - five minutes from the Cathedral and Alcazar and ten minutes from Casa de Pilatos. Despite that it is actually very quiet. The reception team are very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to provide advice on places to visit and eat. We went out of season and the B&B rates were excellent for a hotel of this quality and location. Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of tasty and healthy options and an egg station, for omelettes etc. and I would recommend people seriously considered taking the inclusive rate. The roof terrace bar is great, very comfortable and relaxing with reasonable prices and stunning views of the cathedral and Giralda, We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the sights of Seville.
Overrated and misrepresented
Not luxury, not boutique. Awful experience. If you are driving - DO NOT attempt to approach hotel by car. Obtain parking instructions in advance (parking is 1.2km away by foot). No bellman to park your car. Rooms are awful for the discerning traveler. The vision for trendy is there but the fit & finish and follow through is severely lacking. The cleanliness is appauling. Dirt and grime build up on ceiling fan in bathroom. Baseboards are rotting, room furnishing are cheap and worn. Soundproofing is poor. I booked for 3 nights and checked out at 7:30am after my first night.
Very cold welcome to our late evening arrival. Key and room number and that was it. Advised the hotel that it was a birthday but nothing special in the room. No hotel guide in the room so no idea about room service etc. Tv can’t be seen from the bed which is just weird and the bar was closed at 10 on Sunday without warning. Breakfast good and location good but not the stay we were hoping for.
Excellent location, lovely rooftop
We had a great stay at Fontecruz and would stay again. With that said: Pro's: Water was piping hot, rooftop terrace was wonderful and had a stunning view, our suite was spacious and clean, all our needs were met by the hotel staff, the location is 10/10. Con's: Our room had a strong sewage odor and by request they moved us to a room with no odor (huge shoutout to Inma, thank you for our beautiful and perfect suite). The heater was satisfactory, never getting to a comfortable warm. Breakfast is not included. Coffee is 3 Euro's and the buffet is 20 Euro's. This was a bit peculiar to us as every hotel we stayed in across Spain and Morocco breakfast was included. The parking deck was a 15 minute walk and the roads were very narrow to drop off our luggage, but we managed.
