Great food and very nice ambience. Our waitress is Samantha. She is very friendly and super helpful. She is very passionate at what she is doing. When she talked about food, no matter Italian or Chinese, her eyes just blink. I guess it is because she is from Shunde which apparently very well know for food.
Five star property
Amazing hotel, very luxurious, wonderfully appointed rooms, a number of dining options available the staff are excellent I always book a room with club Millesime access, Edwin the host in the lounge is very accommodating and speaks excellent English, He can arrange anything for you that you need to make your stay more comfortable, there is a large shopping centre about 10 minutes away by taxi which has a number of specialty shops. About 45 minutes from Guangzhou South railway station and about one hour to Guangzhou airport. There is a new highway connecting Foshan and Dongguan In under an hour by car, you can also take the high speed rail to Kowloon West Station in under one hour as well from south Guangzhou station.
Great stay
This is a great hotel to stay. We went to Foshan for working and found this is the best hotel in town with the same building with the centre of Foshan. It just takes 1 hour to go to Guangzhou downtown. You can see the amazing spa here and the chill out rooftop. Staffs are so friendly especially Ms Cicilia and the boy checked in for me at front desk.
World renowned brand but management style akin to a cheap motel
Went there for a wedding dinner and attended as a guest, the room was impressive with high ceiling and full windows. Amenities were good BUT you aint allow to bring in any food into the hotel, sounds totally craps since its not durians or something stinky. Had an after party at their sky bar but they had a claim that we damaged their chair and such with a cigarette butt and all. If u gg to allow smoking with liquor, I personally think the management should have some precautions themselves instead of trying to scam off customers to pay for damaged furnishings. We paid cos we can afford to but its just so irking to have such lousy hospitality coming from an international chain and the music in the sky bar sucks, please dont bother going there. So Sofitel, as nice as your hardware were, you have failed and will continue failing with your backward thinking of restricting guests to bring food and force them to order room service.
