Preciosa decoración , te sientes transportado a otra época .
Bursting with character and great location

Loved this characterful property. The location was perfect, just north of the main piazzas and historic buildings and a short walk in any direction to a great selection of places to eat including some inexpensive hidden gems.
It's a 16th century restored block that's home to a dentist and some permanent residents on lower floors, but the second floor up is the hotel accommodation. Think high ceilings, exposed brickwork and huge gnarly beams, and it's full to bursting with character pieces and quirky decor. The wardrobe looked like it might take you through to Narnia...
As with any older property you need to be prepared for a couple of quirks - the stairs are a little wonky and I definitely wouldn't recommend this property for the less mobile or young children. Our penthouse was accessed from the third floor which you can reach by lift but from there it's another flight of stairs, plus there are a couple of half steps within the apartment.
The only area where I thought there was room for improvement was the beds which felt a bit antique too - they squeaked with movement and all mattresses sank beautifully, but actually we all slept ok.
There's no reception on site but the local host, Michelle, was lovely and really helpful and easy to reach by whatsapp).
Finally, it's an old building so windows are single glazed and on the Friday and Saturday night it was noisy through to the early hours- couldn't work out where the noise was coming from but potentially the bus station area which was around the corner. Ear plugs fixed the problem easily enough but again worth being aware of.
Not really a hotel - more of an AirBnB with lots of antiques and old-school rooms

First off, the check-in process was terrible. This place calling itself a "Hotel" is a joke -- it's more of an AirBnB and Booking.com should know better not to mark it as such. The fact that we had to contact someone to be there for us to check-in (and making us wait for them to get lunch) and then giving us cryptic instructions that forced us to stop the car in the middle of the road 2 blocks away and climb up hills to get our suitcases into the building made this very clear that this shouldn't be called a hotel.
Also heads up that the bathrooms will be really weird and funky in this building. These are old rooms that have been converted. I'm pretty sure our shower used to be where a small toilet was. We decided to wait the next day for the next hotel we were staying at instead of showering again cause it was honestly very uncomfortable in there. Also the ACs here are very old. We had to turn ours off cause it would make a really loud noise every 60 seconds. Overall we had to recover from this hotel the rest of the trip.
With that said - it is in a great location and very cool antique rooms that will make you feel like you're back in the renaissance era. I loved the small details and the building was quiet and well stocked with amenities.
Once was enough

This is a former palace from the 16th century in a good location. Breakfast is NOT included, but there is a kitchen in the apartment. There is no front desk at this property. The municipality of Siena has imposed a tourist tax of 1.50 euro per person, per day, from 1/11 to 28/02 and 2.50 euros, from 1/03 to 31/10.
There is a additional Cleaning fee: EUR 35 per accommodation, per stay. We stayed in an apartment, on the third floor, with lovely A/C, free wifi, an elevator and a macerating toilet. (Cannot flush ANY toilet paper at all. You put ALL used toilet paper into a small, plastic bag lined trash can).
