Bargain price in winter

Most things worked in the room. Shower, heater etc. Walls a bit thin and could hear others in bathroom during the night. Lovely view of the old town castle from my room. Great value breakfast. Nice gardens.

Great Value

This is a nice hotel in a great location overlooking Silves Castle & only a 10 minute walk to the old town. The room was of a good size, comfortable & clean. The Breakfast Buffet was simple but tasty with good coffee. Staff appeared not to be motivated, however it was a very pleasant stay. Great value for money!

Good value budget stay

While there's no denying that the hotel is dated and some refurbishment would be welcome, all the essential elements were there. We slept well in a firm but comfy bed, WiFi was fast and reliable, Aircon efficient and the old fashioned looking shower was surprisingly fast and hot 👌 We only stayed for one night for a night out in Silves - a great little town with loads to explore and plenty of good restaurants and cafes - and we had a room with a huge terrace with a fabulous view of the town and castle. There is a good sized pool (plus kids pool) in a nice garden area, well sited to get full sun well into the afternoon. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come again.

Bad organisation

Thought I had booked into this hotel for a wedding and although I arrived too early the reception man asked my name and said he would register us as we might be back very late. Upon our arrival for the second time which was just after midnight we were told after a while that we had booked the wrong date ie. a months time. We were then presented with a problem as to wether to book again or travel back over an hours drive. The evening reception man told us that there was a room available but it would be 95 euros as against the 54 euros we had already paid and it was probably the worst room they had. I opted to decline and drive home and cancel on my return home the next day. It is for these reasons that I would not recommend this hotel as the left hand does not appear to know what the right hand is doing.

So much potential but misses the mark!

Good location, easy walking distance from this pretty and interesting authentic town. Checkin was like a scene from Fawlty Towers! Despite a very recently confirmed reservation and the Portuguese double vaccination form on our IPhones, it took 20 minutes. They insisted on seeing some sort of “voucher”; finally we called “Basil” on his home number, equally confused he told them to give us the room. They said “sorry”! Room had bits of sticky film on the floor and cobwebs on the glass doors to the balcony (but there was a great view). Breakfast below average, and it took 20 minutes to be served. Lifts in need of maintenance, watch your step when getting out. Otherwise the place was charming; nice pool, safe parking, well tended gardens and the night manager is a great Barman.
